wheresoulmeetsbody
Hey everyone! My new band, Company Company, has just launched our Kickstarter to help fund the recording of our debut EP. We're recording at The Pilot Studio with producer Rob Freeman (guitarist from Hidden in Plain View) March 5-13. Though we don't have any recordings released yet, you can check out our past bands to see what we've done together before ( http://www.facebook.com/loveisla and http://www.purevolume.com/signalsunderseas ), but this new band is more on the alternative rock side of things incorporating ambient guitars and lots of other cool stuff. I think that we're bringing something new to the table and I can't wait to get our music out. Any donation is incredibly appreciated and you won't be let down by the final product, I guarantee! If you can't donate, a "like" on facebook would also be awesome too! Thanks for the support http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1958958186/company-company-debut-ep?ref=live http://facebook.com/companycompany
kurtz
LOL $1000? You can't pull together that much money between 5 guys? And you are expecting strangers on this message board to give money without even having a demo or anything to listen to? And you are autographing shit as an incentive? (a band nobody has heard of, and can't hear because there are no songs online) Good luck "breaking out into the music scene successfully!" Maybe you can get some tips from these guys: http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,2094921_2094923_2105257,00.html

We're just doing this to help fund it. It's fine that you don't want to donate or support us, but some people do (we've already gotten $140 in three days from people that also haven't heard us). I wish we could post demos but we have no way to record until we go to the studio. Hopefully when our music is out you'll enjoy it.
papermonsters
I'd consider some cookies for $1,000.

croft
I wish we could post demos but we have no way to record until we go to the studio. In this day and age, I find it hard to believe between the 5 members in your band, you don't own a smartphone with video and audio recording capabilities. Or even a laptop or PC with a webcam or mic input. If you want people to hear you, that's all it takes for people to get a good idea of what you sound like. Honestly this is kind of a lame excuse you have ways to record so we could at least get an idea if you're any good. You had a video camera, record us an acoustic song using that. I'm sure one of you is bound to have a macbook or a laptop that has a built in mic use that. I'm sure you have ways other than going into a recording studio to get a rough demo..heck get a 4 track cassette recorder for like $100.
