One Hundred Fifty-Two
I play for fun occasionally. I don't follow new sets though. I spend money on too much other shit.
momentumlost
I used to play in tournaments/draft, now i just play EDH/Commander. it lets me use all the old cards and have beers with friends. I do attend prereleases and the big grand prix when they come around nyc to trade and hangout.
Guest
i used to play with some friends and then they ditched me and i played by myself. Then i sold my cards and regret it to this day.

momentumlost
lol, that was def. staged. a friend of mine opened a shop in brooklyn and a bunch of guys got together to help remodel the storefront, totally helped me get into playing with a casual group. silentgods
I'd like to relearn the mechanics. i remember a lot of people having overpowered decks and destroying people who were just trying to learn it. its sort of what turned me off on it in the first place. booyahachieved
I played a lot in the mid-90s but once I entered high school I switched over to playing ungodly amounts of Quake, StarCraft and the like. I did have a little bit of a resurgence within the last year but all I was doing was printing proxies and playing with those. I could not bring myself to pay the big bucks to have the real cards... not when there are records to be bought!
momentumlost
i hear that, i have to walk a fine line between magic and vinyl, both are very expensive hobbies. magic usually takes the forefront as my roommate and few of my closest friends play edh regularly. hell, the last records i bought were the shorebirds 7" and the tv casualty 7" lol
zacaroo21
I played a bit in middle school, but got in to it heavy again during the Lorwynn block. Only lasted for that block though...
crime
I almost got into it ... then I realized I enjoyed having sex with girls so I didn't bother. (sorry had to)
almightyseancore
i stopped buying magic cards around the time Portal came out. i remember all those portal cards feeling really childish in comparison to some of the earlier stuff. i had a collection of close to a thousand cards that i sold for about $750. i still have an interest in it, and i bought the new MTG video game on steam, but i haven't bought a physical deck in well over 10 years. booyahachieved
I played the crap out of the new game when it came out. I assume you're referring to Duel of the Planeswalkers, right? I found that game to be immensely helpful in understanding the game's mechanics. You really have to pay close attention as to when you do certain things because if you don't you miss out big time and can potentially lose a game. scottheisel
Still looking to sell off my collection: http://vinylcollective.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=72058 $300 for all of the cards listed + nearly 1000 more.
momentumlost
yeah, unless theres some revised dual lands in the lot (the ones that count as both of the basic land types they make) the most expensive card you listed is the dreadnought which is 20. a couple others are worth 2-3$. if you want the standard pricing most folks use for trades/selling check out tcgplayer.com its kinda like the discogs of magic cards. momentumlost
scott im not being a dick, im just trying to help you move them. go through the non basic lands you have, look for stuff like maze of ith, wasteland, and the above mentioned duals. even if you have a few of them it will help you move these faster. mameeshkamowskwoz
I need to get rid of my cards. I have a box full and they range from a little beta and alpha and some unlimited lots of revised and fourth and then up to about six or eight years ago. A few from Legends and Dark too. I sold my power cards on eBay for about 800 bucks (dual lands and force of wills) but I still have a bunch of good shit. I intend to make a list anyways so I could post it here. Would anyone be interested in maybe buying some or all of them depending on what I have?

zacaroo21
I should figure out all what I have as well. I know I have a playset of Cryptic Commands and some other stuff that is worth more than nothing. I have boxes and boxes of cards that I will probably never touch again.
