mcm1610
Whether you think unions have a purpose or not, as union membership declines, so does real income of the middle class, so..... Unions are a massive part of inequality in this country. Republicans tricking "the little guy" into believing unions are evil has been enormous. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
How the hell did this fucker get re-elected.....I don't get it... http://news.yahoo.co...-010044710.html this wasnt a re-election campaign, winning a recall election is different, and this is a major blow to the Labor movement. as CBA's are coming up for re-negotiations, union members are going to find out, or have already found out, that they have literally no say in what can be negotiated. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
also, wisconsin dems shot themselves in the foot by taking forever to decide who was going to run as the replacement for Walker, I thin kthey had only 2 months of one-on-one campaigning? It also doesnt help that the guy they had running lost to Walker once already.
BuzzersonKillwell
"Republican Gov. Scott Walker, who survived an effort by the state’s Democrats to unseat him in a special election on Tuesday, outspent his opponent by more than 7 to 1 and easily overcame massive get-out-the-vote efforts by Democrats." Citizens United and Super Pacs FTW. Literally.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah, its insane how much money from outside of the state was used to help campaign for Walker. Barrett had to take money from anti-labor/public employee people to keep afloat in the campaign, which from my understanding, didnt help him win over the union vote. only 62% of union members actually voted.
