Given that they host the site and dumped some money into making it better, I think this is well within the "acceptable advertising" limits. I don't even read the front page 99% of the time. I just go right to "forums". Besides, it is useful information. Might be reminded of something you want to pick up but either missed or put off. Keep it going.
