BBech
When I start a new record it seems to almost jump around a lot for the first 30 seconds or so. Then it plays fine. What is the cause of this?

One Hundred Fifty-Two
What kind of setup do you have? Is it an automatic arm?
Shitty Rambo
Sounds like it could be a weight issue. Can you adjust the weight of your arm? If not, you could try setting a couple coins on it and see if that does anything.
markok
Weight and anti-skate issue.
dreamover
Could also be a slightly bent needle. I had this issue on one of my first turn tables. the needle was as if it had been pushed up into the cartridge, so the cartridge was sliding or bouncing on the record. i pulled it out a bit, and it was fine.
