mameeshkamowskwoz
My friend just sent me a text asking where he could buy cool band posters. I told him to try gigposters.com and exspressobeans.com, but they're both peer to peer sales and forum based sites, so he may not be down for that. Any ideal where else online I could point him? Bonus points if you can name a physical store in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill triangle... that would be cooler. I've heard of a place called Amplified Art a while ago, but their website doesn't work which probably means they closed.
billya
I think peer to peer is probably what you will find most of the time. At least that's probably the case if you're looking for limited stuff.

thebiglebowski
I prefer to take the posters off the wall of venues after the show. They are usually just those ones with a picture of the band or the recent album cover, and a white space at the bottom for the venue to write in the date of the show. Usually rip coming off, would never frame them, but they don't cost anything and remind me of all the shows I've been to.

drrowe
www.insound.com and www.newburycomics.com both have an ok selection. Most gig poster artists sell their work online if you're looking for something specific. A few of my favorites: www.printmafia.net www.animalrummy.com (Rob Jones) www.toddslater.net www.munkone.com www.strawberryluna.com www.taramcpherson.com

cymbalism15
eBay. Or the boards. Thanks, looking for something specific and it hasn't come up on ebay at all Is there an equivalent to popsike/collectorsfrenzy for past poster sales?
