Post collections of bands in that other thread. What record do you have the most copies of? Yes, this is the same picture on gaslightanthem.org, and yes, it is mine.) US Pressings 1. black - 1st Press - 100 2. white with red splatter - 1st PRess - 500 3. Red - 2nd Press - 1000 4. Purple - 3rd press - 1000 5. Seafoam Green - 3rd Press - 1000 6. Clear - UNlimited press - ???? European Pressings (all /500 unless otherwise noted) 1. Blue - 1st PRess 2. White - 2nd Press 3. Crystal Clear - 3rd Press 4. Blue with white splatter - 4th press 5. Crystal clear with blue splatter - 5th press - 500, but 300 of the run was destroyed due to pressing error 6. CLoudy clear with blue splatter - 5th press - 300 (replacement copies for the ones that were destroyed) 7. Red - 6th Press 8. Yellow - 7th press 9. Green - 8th press 10. black - 9th press Yup. While I may have the record for stupid threads and stupid puns, this thread is substantially different. It's not for entire collections. It's to celebrate and lament variant collecting and post pics of collections of ONE release. I find it very interesting to see pressing histories and pics of a zillion copies of a particular record. Plus this is a one-stop place for discussion. That's where I hope to take this thread. Just being me, I know there will be a lot of resistance, but I've dealt with that for years here, so who cares. Shit, the one submission in the thread is exactly that: a pic of a collection (I'd wager the same pic can be found in the "post your collection" thread) posted with the intention of highlighting a single album and its variants. I have been checking that thread several times daily. It's my favorite thread on this board, but it lacks this. You see, most people only post a record collection that is complete. Therefore, I found the content lacking. This thread is needed to make up for it. You can try to take it down all you want and good luck to you. shat Posted February 23, 2013 Share Posted February 23, 2013 how do you find the content lacking if people post pics of their complete collections? as monsterrod pointed out wouldnt you be able to see what that certain colored record you have your heart set on seeing looks like in a post that has pics of every fucking variant of said record. just search google images to see what moonbeam swirl with bloody stool splatter looks like instead of creating pointless duplicate threads here.
