Hype Stickers On Plastic - Do You Keep Them?

Naw. I slit open just the side that has the opening. If that's possible. Otherwise then I just tear the fucker off. It's not possible on all gatefolds

i know i keep trying to get the misfits collection with the unreleased sticker on it but keep failing at that.  because this sells for more money and is considered a variant, it makes me wonder what i have torn off in the past that might be a rarer version.

 

i also just got those rsd walk among us in the mail.  keep going back and forth on taking the wrapping off because of the rsd sticker.

Seeing some of these replies makes me feel like I am too into listening to the music too much and not into the art of collecting quite enough. I might save my next sticker!

The only sticker I ever left on a record was on The Bronx/Mariachi El Bronx split because the blurb on it is "It's pretty good." - Chazz Honeycutt. That shits funny to me.

If the sticker says anything about the pressing info I usually cut it out and toss it into the sleeve. I only do this to keep better track of what I have, but I will trash the shrink in a heartbeat.

I've been keeping all the factory stickers inside every CD and record jackets I have. I also keep the ticket stubs with the albums if I go see the artist. That brings back memories.

 

It's nice to see the original stickers after many years. It reminds me that there was a sticker like that in my Saturday Night Fever soundtrack I bought used and it was nice to see what was on it when it originally came out.

On regular LP's I usually just open the side so I can get the record out. On gatefolds everything goes in the trash.
