robotnetwork
http://beatdelete.com/ Browse through our extensive list of out-of-press albums and singles. If you find something you like, make an order and once the order threshold is reached the record label will repress that product and post it straight out to you. So you can beat delete! mattalica17
it's like kickstarter for represses
mattalica17
not too many labels on it yet
Why Null?
it would be sweet if labels use this site not just for represses, but for first presses of more obscure albums that would usually be too high risk to press otherwise. Like the Matches, Don't Look Down, Lucky Boys Confusion, October Fall, Rufio, or pretty much any of the pop-rock bands I used to listen to
Guest
seems pretty cool, but i'm only vaguely familiar with about 4 or 5 artists listed
rudeboydh
This is great! But agreed, needs some more labels. Also, this looks like UK only? Maybe a version for us from the US is in the works?

rudeboydh
Hellcat/Epitath should get on board with this... Maybe we could get some Slackers represses or some Westbound Train stuff as well. Oh and Mojo as well, so we could get some RBF and Goldfinger. koljou and JSkuf
deletedunknown
I'd love to be able to go in for all of the Cinematic Orchestra albums. Glad to see one has already met its goal. Chances look low on the Jaga Jazzist stuff though, unfortunately.

jerseydave77
Questions: 1. Has anything that has been fully funded been successfully pressed and delivered yet? 2. Do you instantly charge a card or do you wait until enough orders are in to do so? 3. At what point do you say "this isn't happening" and refund those that have already placed orders? rudeboydh
I'm curious as to what determines the point where it goes to press. Is it the break even point for a new pressing, or is it determined by the label?

thesecrets0308
Questions: 1. Has anything that has been fully funded been successfully pressed and delivered yet? 2. Do you instantly charge a card or do you wait until enough orders are in to do so? 3. At what point do you say "this isn't happening" and refund those that have already placed orders? 1. I have ordered and received 2 releases so far through Beatdelete. Blockhead's Music By Cavelight and The Cinematic Orchestra Ma Fleur. 2. You are only charged once the item has met the threshold. 3. Since you aren't charged until the threshold is met, I believe it's up to the buyer of when to decide it isn't going to happen and cancel your order. So far, I haven't noticed any titles being removed due to threshold not being met. I don't have proof of that though since I haven't kept track of everything in their catalog. I can't say enough nice things about Beatdelete. Their customer service is really good in my experience. Some people may dislike the time it takes after threshold is met to actually receive a copy of the title but from my perspective I say, "please... take your time. I'd like a quality product in a little bit more time than a rushed product that ends up sounding and looking like crap". Production for Music By Cavelight took forever (2 months), but it was one of their first albums to meet goal and it was all going down right around the time of RSD in April. Once the item actually ships, it comes through Royal Mail and it's super quick. I got both of my titles within 4 business days of them being shipped. As far as quality goes, I really think they do excellent work. Everything from the media to the jacket/inner sleeves/artwork is top notch in my opinion. They have since added many more labels since the last post on this thread too. But I'm willing to bet that a lot of those labels are still not very familiar to most people over here in the states. I discovered this site via my love for Blockhead and they've already turned me onto a few new artists, TCO being one of them. One of the great things about this site is that a lot of the titles will have a couple of the songs from the album that you can listen to first. It's not just a preview either, it's full songs streamed from soundcloud. Bottom line is I would recommend Beatdelete to anyone. Great things they are doing. Robert_Sofa
it would be sweet if labels use this site not just for represses, but for first presses of more obscure albums that would usually be too high risk to press otherwise. They DO this! Here's a perfect example: http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/ariya-astrobeat-arkestra/self-titled
Robert_Sofa
It would be nice if we had a Beat Delete thread that people could recommend pressings to support. For example, here are two that I have "ordered" that might take a while to get pressed at the current rate: (but these are amazing albums!) http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/quantic/stampede & http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/ariya-astrobeat-arkestra/self-titled
Robert_Sofa
For the record, I've successfully gotten the following releases from Beat Delete!: Bonobo - Animal Magic http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/bonobo/animal-magic Bonobo - One Off's B Sides http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/bonobo/One-Offs-Remixes-B-Sides Caribou - The Milk of Human Kindness http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/caribou/milk-of-human-kindness Skalpel - Konfusion http://www.beatdelete.com/releases/skalpel/konfusion All were great in quality!
