oojavaguru
So did you hear about the 12" of new music by Boards of Canada? Apparently Warp Records dropped 1 12" off at Other Music in NYC on Record Store Day around 3pm. Since the 12" only contains a snippet and the sleeve has other XXXXX on it, there is a theory that there are 5 other 12"s somewhere around the world waiting to be found. Hopefully this means that Boards of Canada have new music coming out soon and maybe we should all just head back out to our record stores to see if there might be a missing BOC 12" out there... Derek™
I did hear and read about this earlier, indeed Pretty interesting. Call me impatient or selfish, but part of me wishes they'd spend less time on intricate marketing and just focus on - you know - releasing the album itself. It's already been too long of a wait as is. And I think it's safe to say that a new BOC record would have fans shitting their pants, even without teasers or abstract advertisements hyping it up. Guest
^this exactly. This album will do massively well regardless if it is marketed or not.

Derek™
I have the fifth one, but I'd prefer to keep it mint for maximum value.

Derek™
The new album (or material) may or may not be called Cosecha, apparently. Spanish for harvest.
Vector53
http://www.brooklynvegan.com/other-music-closing-in-june/ Reviving this old thread just to pour one out for Other Music, who got everyone excited for a new BOC album. I don't live in NYC but seeing these little record stores closing up shop like Origami. Makes me wonder how much longer the vinyl market can keep these places going.
