Guest Justin Maheiny
I just came across this and couldn't find a post about it. Pledge/Kickstarter whatever you call it for represses of To Ride, Shoot Straight & Speak the Truth, Uprising & Same Difference. They look like they come with quite a few extras. Not super cheap though. http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/entombed-reissues Please delete this thread if the info is another one somewhere. iron666monkey
This is awesome but sooooo costly. Just can't justify it.
Guest Justin Maheiny
Ya. The description says the price includes shipping but i can't imagine that would be to the U.S. Regardless that's like 130 bucks for a copy of all 3.
steventangent
Same Difference is so bad. None of these are great enough that I'd pay very much for them, though.
Guest Justin Maheiny
I think by the time of Same Difference they'd had too many hardcore bands opening for them and had started to be influenced by them. Regardless, it's a hard record to find if you're someone that's looking for it.
scentofdeath
I think they said the color vinyl is exclusive through Pledge Music, witch probably means there'll be regular versions available eventually... (Amazon maybe?)
apeman
'To Ride...' is the only one I don't have, so I'd definitely get it at some point. Not sure if I'd rebuy the other two for the bonus tracks, even though 'Uprising' is a very cool album.I think the main reason for 'Same Difference' being so different from the rest of their material was Nicke Andersson leaving the band to focus on The Hellacopters. Entombed had to find a new style without his input. I remember reading an interview in a Danish metal zine around the release of 'Same Difference' that some of the songs had working titled like 'Melvinish' and 'Helmet 1' / 'Helmet 2'. The songwriting gives off a certain AmRep vibe, but that said, it's still not a very good album as they don't pull it off all that well. thievesdont
Same Difference always sounded very AmRep to me, with a big Unsane influence.
mortenso
Pledged for all three in August, it's taking some time but I'm fairly happy with the extras they have released so far. Mainly a live video, a remix of To Ride... and a comp. with assortments from the albums. Pretty good. Sure would be nice to have the actual records, though. Korgull Of Morgoth
Same Difference always sounded very AmRep to me, with a big Unsane influence. If you liked it you should definitely check out Haystack, that project Uffe did in the '90s: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Haystack Total Unsane worship. Slave Me is the bomb. ExtraFox
The Pledge has finally closed. If you missed out, these are being released on red (the pledges are on blue). Steamhammer are putting them out; I've no idea of US distribution for them. http://shop.season-of-mist.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?limit=15&q=entombed http://www.nuclearblast.de/en/shop/artikel/gruppen/80045.1.vinyl.html?article_group_sort_type_handle=rank&custom_keywords=entombed
MtrCtyWx
The copy I got of "To Ride..." has the Prosthetic Records logo on the back. Alex signed a deal with SPV to distribute the titles overseas and I think Prosthetic will service the states.
Crabwalker
Ahhhh. I want uprising. If anyone sees this in the US please let me know
ExtraFox
If you pledged, they're on their way. I got an email saying a parcel was coming and I couldn't work out who was sending it. Turned out to be these. Metal of my youth.
