sirdubblin
Morning VC! I've been falling into this want/need to start collecting 12" singles. (Hip-Hop, R&B, electronic mainly, though if you check out my trade list you'll see I also have a deep love for Indie, Rock, and Pop) I've found the 12" singles will often include 3-4 remixes which is like falling in love with songs all over again. Anyone else collect 12" singles and if so... what are some good ones?I've recently picked up Gotye (Somebody That I Used To Know - The remixes) and Coldplay (Paradise - The remixes). Both are unofficial releases but include several electronic variations which make for great jams at dance parties. Looking for more of that action! (Tiesto seems to do a lot of cool stuff like this)
mameeshkamowskwoz
A few faves of mine are the Mindless Self Indulgence remix on the Serart Facing the Plastic single, Beck's Guero era Gameboy Variations and Guerolito, the DJ Shadow/DJ Qbert Camel Bobsled Race and DJ Shadow's remix of Radiohead's The Gloaming. plasma36
The Actors & Actresses remixes LP is fantastic stuff for those into downtempo electronic remixes of post-rock songs. In general I don't buy 12" singles but I do have Wu-Tang's "Protect Ya Neck" b/w "Method Man" which is nice, and I got a 12" of N.O.R.E.'s "Livest Niggas" sort of on accident and I absolutely love that song now.
