deletedunknown
Very curious to hear this album. It took forever for Marrow of the Spirit to grow on me, but I was lucky to get a picture disc copy for a decent price recently and they actually have no real surface noise that I can hear. I felt the same way about Marrow. It took a lot of repeat listens for me to really dig it.
8ight
I don't think it's available yet (on vinyl) but you can stream the new album on their bandcamp. http://agalloch.bandcamp.com/album/the-serpent-the-sphere

dkrtz
From the band's facebook - "To those who are asking, we will have new shirts, the Serpent CD, and (hopefully) the LP available on tour this summer in the US." Has anyone heard any mention of tour dates yet?

weinerdog
I thought they said on their FB last week about more dates this coming week.
RustyShackelford
They did, I just got my hopes up that they were already announced. I'm definitely making it to one of the dates. Even if I have to drive halfway across the country to get there.
radiatorhums
Missed them last year when they played Seattle because I had just started a new job and couldn't take the night off, missing them this year because I'm out of town! Damn it!
hezagenius
I've made up excuses in the past to not see these guys but if they are anywhere within a 6 hour drive from me, fuck it, I'm going. I've heard some of their shows in the past are kind of hit or miss but that's probably because they never used to tour and play whole songs live. Hopefully they are in KC, Minneapolis or Omaha. weinerdog

I used to hear this a lot, especially in regard to five or more years ago, but their 2012 tour seemed to have gone much better. They were amazing in new orleans and I heard nothing but good about the rest of the tour.

Metal Mike
God dammit. That's exactly what I thought...then i realized I *might* be in Tampa that night. Fingers crossed!
RustyShackelford
Birmingham is the closest to me and that's 10 hours. And it's right after punk rock bowling so I'm not sure it's gonna happen I was hoping for the tour to be a little later in the year.

deletedunknown
Not a big fan of Empire, but I'll have to drag my ass there. Missed them last time, missed Cult of Luna there, and enough other great bands that they occasionally host.
