  1. I emailed them right after they released their statement and i haven't gotten a reply either.
  2. Based on reading that, seems like it's best to store the replacements outside of the sleeve.
  3. Sub Pop has admitted the error on a couple of tweets. I wonder if when the replace the warped discs, should they not be stored in the jacket? Or is the warping something that happened while packaging it at the factory?
  4. I ordered a Bon Iver bundle fro Popmarket.com. The s/t record was borderline un-listenable due to static and popping (apprently a known issue for the pressing). I contacted their customer service to tell them I was pretty disappointed in the sound quality. They shipped me out a replacement free of charge (and no return). Can't say if the new copy will sound any better, but that's some pretty good customer service.
  5. Unfortunately what is being lost in all of this discussion about warped records is that this is a great album! Early contender for my favorite of the year!
  6. I emailed Sub Pop yesterday but haven't gotten a response. My C/D is fine. Only A/B is slightly warped but it's enough to make a difference. I'm sure they are getting a ton of emails and their Twitter says they are working on a solution. I feel like my A/B would be fine if it played at 33rpm but because it plays at 45 it causes the needle to jump more.
  7. I listened to my copy a 2nd time and I really started to notice some pitch variations on the warped A/B. Especially during "Chateau Lobby" that I'm used to hearing on the radio. It just sounded off. I'm sure it doesn't help that it plays at 45RPM, The tone arm is just bouncing up and down. I emailed Sub Pop. We'll see what they say.
  8. Go to a UPS Store if there's one near you and have them pack and ship it. Just pass along the cost when you sell it.
  9. Looks like my A/B is slightly warped after all. Nothing like in the video above. C/D is pretty flat though.
  10. Got mine from Sub Pop,doesn't look like there's any warping. I also got the demo cassette. I will post some pictures a little later (if no one else beats me to it)
  11. Where did you see that at? Hopefully it won't be an issue for me. I guess I'll find out in about an hour or so.
  12. That's no good. Mine should be delivered today. Did you get yours at a store or from Sub Pop?
  13. I just picked that up because it was so cheap. Definitely sold me on ordering the new album.
  14. I'm going to have to disagree. "To the Top" was one of my favorite tracks of last year.
  15. 5 weeks meaning they build the table for you and it's a 5 week back log. The tone arm comes completely set up. If you buy an integrated amp or receiver that has a phono input you won't need a preamp. If you're on a budget that's probably the way to go. I actually run mine through the TX-8020 that you mentioned. Orbit->Onkyo TX-8020->Pioneer SP-BS22 Speakers I'm pleased with the results and it won't require a separate preamp.
  16. If you're looking for something under $200 you can also take a look at the U-Turn Orbit. You would still need an amp and speakers. www.uturnaudio.com 5 week lead time though.
  17. I didn't even know this band was still around. Young for Eternity came out when I was in college and I played that album all the time. I'm gonna have to check this out.
  18. Darn () on Amazon UK is up to 25.99GBP. I should have jumped on it when it was 15.80GBP
  19. I was looking for a working Coupon Code for there. Thanks!
  20. I'll say that I really like my Orbit. If the speed variation you are talking about is from the Wirecutter review, that has already been addressed. They had a defective bearing that has been corrected.
