Totally agree. Listened to it yesterday for the first time, and I was astounded at how great it sounds. Wish all new vinyl sounded this clean. And then the album, of course, is fucking genius.

As they do every year, Easy Street Records in Seattle had free (good) coffee and thick-cut bacon. They walk back through the line with both and wait patiently for people to grab some bacon and pour some coffee. Makes supporting them pretty much a no-brainer.

Torn about the S3 LPs. The band itself has encouraged people to not purchase these, but...gah.

Listening to the SDRE right now. Sounds great! And this album is way better than I remembered it being.

If you want to know what it was like to be a college DJ in the 80s, it sounded a lot like this. My college radio station played a ton of bands that had this kind of sound, production, and aesthetic. Prefab Sprout, ABC, Echo and the Bunnymen, and so on.

thesoundofvinyl.com wants to charge me $112.85 to ship 5 LPs to the US. Thinking that $10-off coupon isn't going to make much of a difference.
