allenh
I searched to see if anyone had posted this and couldn't see it but apologies if it's old news. It's probably only of interest for those of us in the UK but I was in HMV Oxford street earlier and they had quite a selection of vinyl for £9.99 and some for £12.99. Not sure if it was that store only or all the HMV's that carry vinyl are doing it but I bought all sorts of things, everything from Eminem and Hollywood Undead to the Beatles and Annie Lennox with a bit of Soul, Funk and Prog thrown in
big_chuck
Ah awesome. I was in the Glasgow one the other day and saw they'd reduced some of the Foo Fighters reissues to £12.99. Managed to pick up There Is Nothing Left to Lose, which I was pretty happy with. They were in a "when it's gone it's gone" bin, along with some of the Springsteen reissues. allenh
Glad to know it's not only London, I picked up a couple of Foo's reissues as well. I think I bought about 20 LP's in all. They were is three different places in London, on the end of the normal vinyl rack, in a slot on their own called crazy deals or something like that and the same thing in the specialist vinyl section over by the tills. bobbyjames
Same thing in Norwich last week, only 1 bin with about 20-30 records in. They had some of the Foo's stuff in for £12.99 along with some Rolling Stones and Springsteen.
Vince Ives
The Foos records are £12.99 with the exception of Gt Hits & TC&TS, ditto Springsteen's single LP albums (2LPs like the river are down to £15.99). I can't remember most of the titles but I the latest Weezer, Foster the People, Roots and Modest Mouse are £9.99, and so's the lavender reissue of JEW's Static Prevails. Vince Ives
Oh, in fact they're all reduced on HMV's online store too. That's handy.
Vince Ives
Do we have a UK bargains thread? There's some incredibly cheap stuff at Impericon, notably the latest Dillinger for £7.99, and Gaslight's American Slang for £5.99! http://www.impericon.com/uk/sales.html?type_media=68 You get a £5 voucher when you subscribe to their mailing list, and shipping seems to be a flat £2.99 for any orders under £50, and free over that. psus2h
Maybe the OP can change the thread title to UK Vinyl deals. There seems to be a lot of Brits here.
bruno66
HMV??? Fuckers killing off good indie stores again. Jumping on the vinyl bandwagon and undercutting... Have we not learned from what these guys did before??? Vince Ives

Have we not learned from what these guys did before??? Judging by the amount they are trying to shift at these prices I'd say they overshot in that jump and are having to offload stock so I'd say it's them who haven't learnt. Vince Ives
I've posted this before and they somehow still have some left (only small tees though), but for £7.99 you get LCD Soundsystem's This Is Happening for £7.99 on 2LP, CD, a really nice record bag and a shirt. http://www.tmshop.co.uk/lcd-soundsystem-this-is-happening-pack.html

ExtraFox
All Your Music on Ebay (and Amazon, but I prefer using Ebay) have an astonishing amount of stuff only on sale to the UK. It would take a long, long time to go through it all; the best I can say is look for things here before you import from the USA. I got my purple/white copy of Caspian's Waking Season a lot cheaper via them. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/all_your_music/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= A current example is the Black Friday release of the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack (not released over here) for £6.74 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131453166366?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Even though they say dispatched from the USA, they are not. They get dispatched from the UK, so problems with import VAT etc. (I have tested this more than once). Comparing invoices I've had from various sellers, I worked out that they are part of DeepDiscount in the USA. No idea how they do free shipping on things. Have these bookmarked, I've found a ton of stuff from them between £8-£12 that I can't find cheaper anywhere else in the UK, plus the free delivery on top. Haven't ordered anything from them yet, how's the packaging? In regards to Amazon, I've used Dodax-Online-UK before who also have some cheap items. Bought both Tancred albums for £14 not too long ago. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=0&isCBA=&marketplaceID=A1F83G8C2ARO7P&orderID=204-5790729-1142723&protocol=current&seller=A27JSCD0I9BZF&sshmPath=

I've had a couple of issues with the top of the sleeve being torn in the centre, but they sort it out very quickly. Also, free returns to a UK address if you're not happy. slinch
Whenever I don't order directly from the artist/label for some special colors/editions, I buy from third party sellers on amazon UK and FR. These are mostly all your music, dodax online, reflexCD, nagiry, zoreno, mecodu, marvelio, rarewaves and many others. It's impossible to browse through their inventory really, so I mostly have price drop alerts set on records I'm after. Whenever there's something new I'm looking for, I check both UK and FR sites and get from whichever's the cheapest at that time. Including shipping they are still cheaper than just the list prices of any other online store and any of my local and not-so-local shops that carry vinyl. Shipping is fixed per item, £1.26 within UK and £1.82 across EU. I usually pay less than half of what I would if I bought directly from labels.
