  1. I always wanted to hear what this album sounded like without a blanket over everything, so I'm excited to get this. There's definitely some bands with a sound that the OG production would have worked for - maybe even added to! - but when you've got tracks of fiddly guitars, loads of layers, and percussion everywhere, it was such a weird choice. Can someone redo ETID's Gutter Phenomenon next please, would love to hear that without the mud guitar tone
  2. ...and a load of stuff around a tenner on the Hassle store, including some of the less widely reduced Vagrant reissues: https://shop.hasslerecords.com/collections/spring-sale?page=1
  3. Bringin' the damn thread back 'cos I just picked up Paramore's s/t reissue on tangerine wax for £26.99, £13 or so cheaper than everywhere else (& less than half what HMV want, no idea what's going on there these days): https://eurostore.warnermusic.com/gb/music-store/artists/paramore/paramore-self-titled-tangerine-double-vinyl/0075678612251.html
  4. Three in stock on Amazon UK for a damn fiver: The Bled - Silent Treatment (part of Vagrant's anniversary reissue campaign) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silent-Treatment-VINYL-Bled/dp/B0B6MXM7BG/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=the+bled+vinyl&qid=1687597936&sprefix=the+bled+%2Caps%2C140&sr=8-3
  5. Ordered this and the s/t the day the latter went up for presale. Nothing for months, then finally a tracking number over a month ago with the message 'shipment created, USPS yet to receive item'. It hadn't changed after a month and I couldn't get answer from the label, so I had to file a paypal dispute to get the cash back. Really gutted
  6. Thrice - Beggars (Hassle/Vagrant 2022 repress) £9.22 @ Rarewaves https://www.rarewaves.com/collections/vinyl-offers/products/5060626464186-beggars
  7. Truly though, this is one of those albums where you play it to someone for the first time and they're like, "how the hell have I not heard this before? Why weren't they huge?"
  8. I finally got round to signing up the Vault as I was paying £19.99 a month for Tidal anyway, so this way I'm basically making money*. The customer service folks were incredibly prompt & polite . Not blown away by the Primus reveal (naturally I'd have loved the Sleep LP I just missed out on), but it'll be a fun curio even if I won't spin them often. *may not be mathematically sound
  9. I've been listening to their last 3 albums and nothing else since I read this comment. Was lucky to stumble on a mint copy of Young Machetes at a charity shop in 2015 or so, but I MUST own BPIB
  10. Some cheapos at Juno: Jack's Mannequin - People & Things (MOV), £7.50: https://www.juno.co.uk/products/jacks-mannequin-people-things-reissue/825875-01/ Hundred Reasons - Live At The Lemon Grove (SECRET) £9.50: https://www.juno.co.uk/products/hundred-reasons-live-at-the-lemon-grove/862387-01/ Mark Lanegan Band - Gargoyle (HEAVENLY) £10.99 https://www.juno.co.uk/products/mark-lanegan-band-gargoyle/640504-01/
  11. I maintain if the order of release had been STWHA - GS - OAW, they'd have been a much bigger band. Energetic pop punk bangers - big radio songs - slower, more mature critic-bait. Would've picked up far more listeners than they lost. Obvs in this alternate timeline we don't get Rob's world class bass playing for Spoon, and James Dewees would probably be dead.
  12. I have that too, sounds really good. I also have the Backbite YCBY, so for me to pick this up it'll need to be called The Read From Tera or something

  14. Got my Ex Lives, I don't know why I didn't already have it. Think I bought the CD on release day to play in the car and just never got around to the LP. Just need the box set albums now. Hope Keith gets some help, there's no way the three non-Buckleys are on Jordan's side 'because Keith got sober and they don't like it' or whatever nonsense I've half-read. Don't really get why he'd have to travel separately, Andy's been straight edge forever so it can't be some toxic peer pressure environment where the sober aren't welcome. That's the other thing, I can't imagine not being on whichever side Andy's on - nicest guy in the world.
  15. Only a bargain in a relative sense really, but any pressing of The Chariot's One Wing that isn't used & expensive on ebay is good news: https://mnrkheavy.uk/collections/vinyl/products/one-wing-lp £20's a bargain for that band's swansong. 365Games have reupped their "2 for £XX", with different tiers of pricing. Some RSD leftovers in there, and I was pleased with Higher Power and Bright Eyes for £20. Free, tracked postage too.
  16. Brand New's latest/finalist record for £7: https://www.rarewaves.com/products/0711297363814-science-fiction?_pos=25&_sid=7729ac432&_ss=r Touche live 2LP for under £10: https://www.rarewaves.com/products/8714092761818-10-years-1000-shows-live-at-the-regent-t?_pos=5&_sid=de5905887&_ss=r Site's legit, got both mint, sealed, and well-packaged.
  17. If you told me there'd be a band with Letlive/Chariot DNA and the Night Verses dude on drums, and that I would not only not dig it but actively dislike it , I would assume one of us was on bath salts.
  18. Ah man, that boxset is gonna be the same size as the last Foals deluxe, just a tiny bit bigger than an IKEA Kallax shelf. Ah well.
  19. 30% off at the Bjork store, no code required: https://shop.bjork.com/
  20. Weird selection for sure, but you can't really sniff at 3 LPs for £15 w/ free delivery: https://www.365games.co.uk/combo-deals/vinyl-3-for-combo/sort-most-popular
  21. Pig Destroyer's Head Cage on Amazon for £8.86: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07FDMXLTW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
  22. Different Kitchen have always got great prices on No Idea catalogue (https://differentkitchen.bigcartel.com/product/no-idea-back-catalogue-lp-s-reasonably-cheap) and all these HWM records are out of print and under a tenner! https://differentkitchen.bigcartel.com/product/hot-water-music-6-lp-s-to-choose-from
  23. Lots of cheaps on the HMV site, I'd expect more to be added as they try to compensate for having to close all the stores today: https://store.hmv.com/store/hmv-offers/vinyl-offers?sort=sale_price asc&quantity=72&page=1&view=grid
  24. Urban Outfitters have chucked a bunch of new titles in their sale, Earl Sweatshirt & Floating Points for a tenner and a bunch of other stuff under £15. I'd anticipate a lot of vinyl sales online in the coming weeks as shop footfall dries up completely. https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/en-gb/search?q=vinyl&sort=visualVariants.nonvisualVariants.salePrice&order=Ascending
