Ok, I will give you that, but 1 day head start for RC members is a nice bone to throw for their support.  Its hardly worth some people getting upset over

A few of them were Euro Only 7"s released on Banquet records. I actually have them and need to sell them soon!
 
I'm trying not to bitch but if I were, it would be less focused on the fact that a lot of the songs are nothing new and more on the fact that I wish it had just been a single or double LP to reduce the amount of record flipping needed.
 
I'm not saying singles shouldn't exist, but the idea used to be that you released a song or two early before the album, then the album. Taking a bunch of old songs to singles instead of combining them onto a single LP is just a bunch of unnecessary record flipping that could have been avoided to me.

Box Set contains:
9 tracks directly from the albums
7 tracks is different versions of tracks from albums
2(!) rare and hard to find vinyl bsides reissues
It is worth $60 if it would ltd to 500 + the records on different colours
Or if it was FULL collection of the singles from 4 albums. It would make sense(for me)(and worth $90-100)
So! You pay $60 for 2 songs+9 printed paper sleeves and WOODEN BOX(ZOMG).
Sorry if you dont agree with me. I like Gaslight (especially these 2 albums(in my opinion "Film Noir" their best song)), but this box just don't make sense(for me)

That is a pretty flowery and long winded way of saying that they had a bad business model.

Some really good deals here and I might just dip in but I really wish they had some vinyl presses of those Koufax albums.  I have always had a soft spot for that band

I prefer MoFi over HH if we're going to talk about pressing quality.

Reading some of these stories makes me feel good to have never met these obsessive assholes. When I go shopping for records I usually find the experience in browsing to be a very relaxing, I take my time and thumb through everything and if something catches my eye I quickly look at the condition of the record and put it in a pile next to me. I also have a tendency to mutter my thoughts to myself which may annoy people or may just make them think I am crazy, I am not sure. As far as I am concerned though any row that I am not looking in is fair game and I usually start at the opposite end if someone is already looking through that section and when we met just quietly leapfrog around then and check out the row they were on later. At the end of the day there is nothing to get angry about even if someone else nabs up something I wanted before I got to it, hey thats great for them man
