  1. Yup. Opens at the top, overall art is kind of blurry and it has all the item numbers of the original 1993 LP.
  2. Yo Gabba Gabba - Super Music Friends Show Bjork - Debut of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? The more I look at the Bjork LP, the more positive I am it's a boot. Probably going to end up returining it since I'd rather just have my 27 bucks back. Damn you, Urban Outfitters...
  3. Just opened up the Yo Gabba Gabba LP I bought and it's on red and yellow instead of orange and green. So I guess there might be color variations on this?
  4. Blur - Blur 21 box set fun. - Some Nights Green Day - Dos (aqua blue) R.E.M. - Murmur SIouxsie and the Banshees - Join Hands Bjork - It's In Our Hands promo And a HUGE stack of used 7" singles and LPs from the 80s/90s. Namely Bowie, R.E.M., The Clash, Talking Heads, New Order, The Cure, Morrissey, and Depeche Mode. Needless to say I'm very happy this year.
  5. Update: Killers absolutely kicked ass. Definitely one of the greatest shows I've seen by far.
  6. I've lost count of how many times they've pressed Bullets... I have the red one which I think is the second or third pressing. Paid 15 bucks for it I think?
  7. OP of R.E.M. - Document for 10 bucks. A bit overpriced but it's pretty much mint aside from a few corner dings and it's one of my favorite albums of theirs so I couldn't resist.
  8. Most likely a boot. I have both the original translucent blue pressing and the 7" box set and then there's the lighter blue t-shirt box as well.
  9. The venue I was at was about 1500 people and although they weren't technically the headliner and only played 7 songs (which still ended up being 45 minutes despite this), they brought down the house either way. Ritzy even ended up giving one of her guitars to the guy next to me at the front at the end of their set. Didn't even bother staying for the headliner because I knew they couldn't be beat. Pretty damn awesome.
  10. I finally got to see them a couple weeks ago, and was expecting a great show but I was absolutely blown away. Definitely in the top 3 bands I've seen live.
  11. Available January 22nd in the UK and January 23rd in the US. A bunch of different packages including a vinyl box set and standard edition. http://www.thejoyfor...able_splashpage Quite psyched for this one.
  12. I don't know, I'm looking forward to it with an open mind. 10 years between albums for any band is tricky. Personally, I've never been a huge fan of their last two albums so I'm hoping for something "new" sounding, but still Suede.
  13. The Cure, Disintegration in particular. I was 13 and they were my first introduction to Alt after listening to nothing but top 40 radio. Sucks that it took me so long to get into the genre - my dad tried his hardest to bring me up on the legendary WBCN but I never listened to him. Shame it's gone now. Anyways, still one of my all time favorite bands/albums. Still waiting for the chance to see them; hopefully next year if they come to the US.
  14. Atoms for Peace, The Joy Formidable, Suede, and MBV.
  15. Only ended up seeing 5 shows this year, but I got to see a decent amount of bands: The Fools Sleeper Agent fun. Caribou Radiohead (!!) Human Sexual Response Ra Ra Riot The Joy Formidable and I'm seeing The Killers a week from tomorrow to top it all off. Honestly, I could've just seen Radiohead this year and have been perfectly happy. Nothing like seeing your favorite band for the first time.
  16. American Idol when I was 13. My early teenage years is a time I prefer not to think about.
  17. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois 2xLP Radiohead - Karma Police reissue 12"
  18. They had these at Newbury Comics for 20 bucks today. I'm personally not a fan at all but figure I'd pass it on.
  19. Turns out there's a stream of the entire album up already. On second thought, I might be waiting for this to go on sale... I'm really not impressed so far. Wish they just released these as standard 12" singles.
  20. “We were driving through the deserts of California when we hatched the plan to release a boxed set of the singles from Skying, unaware that it would balloon into the monster that it did. We started off small, just one version per single. However, through chance encounters and wanting to involve more people whose music excited us, the box soon grew into an impressive collection of sonic tapestries and hypnotic grooves and it became apparent that this was no longer about the singles. It was now about this new music which had used the different elements of Skying as a springboard to other ideas. We encouraged everyone involved to be as obtuse as possible, to get as far away from the original source material as they could. The results are stunning, and I think it's just a shame we couldn't have done more.” Tom Furse, The Horrors The box set features an eclectic collection of musicians, DJs and producers from widely contrasting genres but all fans and friends of The Horrors:- Connan Mockasin, Seahawks, Andrew Weatherall, Blanck Mass, Peaking Lights, Cherrystones, Chris Watson, Daniel Avery, JTC and Andy Blake. "It was an honour to create these remixes and they’re probably the most enjoyable we've ever done. Having parts from the entire album to work with was an amazing luxury. To choose from the myriad sounds that spilled out from the folders was like walking into a psychedelic sweet shop with all the flavours of the universe on display.” - Pete Fowler, Seahawks Amongst the collection’s many diverse interpretations is Chris Watson’s reworking of ‘Dive In’. Watson, one of the world’s leading sound recorders of wildlife and natural phenomena and founder of post punk outfit Cabaret Voltaire, describes the field recordings he included in his intriguing mix: “I used Weddell seals singing at the intro recorded under the Antartic sea ice. The rhythms of the Humbolt current around the Galapagos Islands recorded with DPA hydrophones. Singing grey seals recorded out on the Farne Islands, Northumberland and the processed voices of Orca, killer whales, recorded in the sea of Norway.” The images that make up the cover and boxed set package were created by celebrated young artist Leif Podhajsky who has previously artworked releases by Lykke Li, Tame Impala and Grimes. 12" Vinyl One A1. A little steep for what it is but the package looks nice and I'll need it for my nearly complete Horrors collection anyway.
  21. Definitely going to go for the deluxe on this one, thanks for the link.
  22. There's one UO that opened here recently but last time I was in there there was nothing. I'll probably pop in again to check if they got any copies but I highly doubt it since the album was released way at the beginning of the year. Most likely I'm just SOL.
  23. The Blur boxset came today, however it's technically a Christmas present so I can't open it... however the shipping box looks okay, a few creases but nothing that's making me worry about the condition of the vinyl inside.
  24. They had the lavender Visions for sale on the website the other week, checked again yesterday and they only have black now. So yeah, kicking myself.
