Part of me wants to preorder, but at the same time I keep seeing the Default 12" singles at various Newbury Comics I've been to so I'm not too worried about missing it. Glad there's an actual preorder now instead of the "Judge Judy" typo that kept popping up on Amazon UK.

I honestly had no idea there were any HTs in Mass that had any real vinyl selection... around here I'm lucky if I walk in and see one copy of Abbey Road on the wall. Oh well.

Ah, I know, it's more just the fact that I don't have an actual steady job yet and therefore no real cash flow. Most of the cash I get is from odd jobs and such. Once I start getting real paychecks I'm screwed.

Finally got around to seeing Lincoln today. A bit slow at times but Daniel Day-Lewis was fantastic.

I have around 400 CDs and they're really starting to take up space. I'm not planning on selling any since it wouldn't be worth it, but I'm definitely going to start cutting down on buying them aside from cool/import/etc ones from my absolute favorite bands. Being a teenager with a limited budget, I'm going to do my best to listen to new releases on Spotify first and if I like it, then I'll buy the vinyl version.

I guess people who preordered the standard LP got this email: Thank you for pre-ordering The Joy Formidable's Wolf's Law vinyl LP. Unfortunately, due to a production delay, we were unable to ship your order for the vinyl in time for today's release. The vinyl will begin shipping Thursday, January 24th, and should arrive by the end of January. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause you. So they should be out in stores by next week at the latest. I don't think there's a delay on the boxset though.

Just saw the updated tour dates. Definitely going to try to see them again in Boston! That sucks if the LP is delayed. Hopefully it isn't too long. Also, according to Facebook it looks like the hummingbird pins included in the deluxe box are going to be used as aftershow/backstage passes for the upcoming UK gigs at least. A really cool idea!

Wow, I had no idea about that. Makes sense, though. IMO Some Nights is... okay. There's a few good songs but the hip hop-esque production really hurts it as a whole.

Jonny Greeenwood's score for There Will Be Blood. Nonesuch pressed his new one for The Master last year so it's only fair.

Anyone else see the unboxing video of the deluxe set? Looks really nice.

Thinking about cancelling my Atoms for Peace preorder and then just reordering with the code... hmm. And might order some other stuff besides just because.

Gave it a listen yesterday and I love it. Sure, it doesn't beat The Big Roar, but that's pretty much to be expected. It's one hell of a rocker regardless.

Call it sacrilege, but all my records lose the shrink completely once I buy them and are then transferred to plastic sleeves. However, I usually cut out any promotional stickers on the shrink and keep them with the record just in case.

Barriers was actually a pleasant surprise for me - I was quite skeptical about the whole "Coming Up meets Dog Man Star" description but it's actually pretty accurate. Might jump on the book/box set but I'll wait to see if there's ever a US preorder for it. (I doubt it, but whatever.)

The more I look at this, the more I can justify the price... but I'm really not in the position to drop $250 on a box set right now. Sigh.

Finally got around to watching Moonrise Kingdom last night. Great story, really enjoyed it.

This album is going to be so good.

I was lucky enough to catch them at one of their club shows in November, they weren't the headliner so they only got to play 7 songs but they were incredible. I'd definitely like to see a full set with stuff from the new album besides the first two singles.

My parents surprised me with a preorder for the deluxe vinyl box for Christmas and I'm really excited to get it! The artwork for this album overall is stunning; I'm happy they're including lithographs with it and everything.

Well, I have pink Uno and aqua Dos so I'm obliged to get this one as well.

Can't speak for B&N but both amazon.com and .co.uk have shipped all my records in mailers.
