Not sure what the signs are of need a new cartridge but getting a lot of surface noise on my Denon DP-300F turntable, I clean the stylus regularly as well. Any help would be greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey VC - I'm moving from Pennsylvania to California in January. My record collection isn't massive but it's still 500+ pieces and mainly LPs. Was curious if anyone had any suggestions on the best way to get my records safely across the country. I saved all of the packing materials for my speakers, table, receiver, etc so not as worried about that stuff. I'm shipping my car but that is going to be full of clothes and other odds and ends. Appreciate any help or advice!!

I agree that Deafheaven have probably outgrown Deathwish. Regardless I think it's pretty lame for them to say that in an interview. It's not going to stop me from buying this record or going to a show. Still am curious who will be putting this out and am excited to hear what they will do next.

Just picked this up @ my local store. Sounds fucking incredible, totally worth $30. Packaging is gorgeous minus it being next to impossible to see what side of the record I was about to play. Anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy of S/T?

Just got a demo pair of CM8R's from my local audio shop and a Denon DP300-F. My receiver is pretty budget so I brought it in to test the MMF 5.1 vs the DP300-F. Honestly couldn't hear the difference and even my sales rep said it wasn't worth spending the extra on the music hall until I went for a better receiver. Think the set up sounds fucking awesome from where I was at.

Yeah they do haha, the selectors in the room these speakers are in all only go up in price

Yeah - They have a pair of demos they can sell me for 2K for the pair. They would be with an MMF 5-1 table and an Onkyo TX85-11 (I know not an ideal receiver, just can't upgrade the whole rig at once)
