Misery Signals new album
hideyourheart replied to anchorlessbodies's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
they are trying to raise money, not sell it at cost. that said, they haven't recorded/toured in years... they couldn't get jobs and collectively save up to record? these kickstarter & indiegogo beg-a-thons are getting out of hand. it's cool that you can get "rewards", but come on. the fact that they want travel & lodging expenses covered is ridiculous. -

They are on the TIH list, which adds a little legitimacy to it: -

Vegetarian / Vegan Foods Thread
hideyourheart replied to smash2pieces's topic in Everything Else Message Board
on the pizza note: if anyone is ever around Albany, NY - Go to Little Anthony's and get a vegan Sicilian pie. It is THE best pizza I have ever had. They have a bunch of other vegan offerings... but damn, that Sicilian. My mouth is watering. -

I can't suggest based on experience, but I saw a (possibly unhelpful) article about alternates: http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2013/03/14/google-reader-alternatives/1986865/ -

Chris Carrabba starts Mumford & Sons-Rip Off Band
hideyourheart replied to dreamover's topic in Everything Else Message Board
okay so, after a few more listens I've decided to take back what I said and go with: awful. It's so boring and it does not sound anything like Mumford & Sons. casinonightzone was right, more like Dropkick. Gross. -

it's not awful, but not great either. what it is though, is better than anything DC has released in a decade. -
I'm not sure if this is what you're thinking of but, he said on stage one night that hey were going to write some happier songs.. but in an interview he said he was joking and didn't plan on writing happy songs. Not that Deja is "happy" lyrically though, so who knows.
