  1. Really excited to announce the next show i'm doing here in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is the only Canadian date on this tour, and the only date with Grave Maker added to the bill. This is a show worth travelling for!
  2. I just spent around a grand on a ring. We went ring shopping after i asked her, i wanted to make sure she got what she wanted. We found expensive rings that were nice, and cheaper ones that were just as nice. She wanted a certain cut (princess?) and white gold, that was her basic requirements. The ring we bought sparkles real nice and it makes her smile, so i don't care how much it costs. She bought me some rare records as a gift after!!
  3. Is VC getting these? The shipping charges from Interpunk are retarded!
  4. The band just posted a blog on their site saying that because of the exchange rate they'll be selling the box for $200 tonight in Vancouver! Holy fuck, that's retarded! If they sell each LP for $15 that would total $60... so the question is are the rest of the contents worth $140? I highly doubt it. I don't think i even have a spare $200 to spend on this. Bum out.
  5. How do you think we feel? Hmmm.... well Tre the few times i've met you over the years you appeared grumpy. So maybe you're feeling grumpy? Or horny? Or sassy? Am I close at all?
  6. I'm sure the records will look amazing so i don't really mind shelling out $25, but god damn i don't need another copy of the CD!! Between the LP preorder and the Deathwish one i've now got multiple copies of a format i don't care about. Oh well, I work in a record store so i could just sell them here.
  7. Joe... thanx for thinking of me! Man, what a responsibility... coming up with a color for the repress of My Love.My Way. My first thought was the color of the van we killed on that tour with CBK and Terror. It's kinda green, kinda blue. I'll try to post a picture of it here... Give me a day to think about it. I'll email you.
  8. I'm just saying that i don't need the CD, It'll just get put into a box. But I do need the 7"... so my order has been placed.
  9. You know i think at one point this was a possibility of happening. I know some of the guys in Knucklehead liked the Beltones, and they were on Far Out for a record.
  10. I think it's lame that you have to pre-order the CD in order to get the limited 7". Alot of people are buying the CD because they don't like or want vinyl. The people who support vinyl should be rewarded by getting the 7" for pre-ordering the LP. Just makes sense to me.
  11. I don't mean to be a dick... but did you really think that this was "rare" or some shit? A promo copy is a promo copy... nothing special.... unless it's a promo only release. There's probably 100's of promo copies of this LP out there.
  12. you can sell your ticket. It says on the burning fight site for people who didn't get tickets to keep checking "hardcore forums." I might buy this ticket from you..... How is this going to be possible? I'm probably not going anymore, cheaper to go to California for Unbroken/Undertow. All tickets are picked up at will call, and i would expect you'd need the credit card to get the tix. I need to figure this out.
  13. Shaun, Think you might be able to help me acquire one? I just dropped a line to John 25 in Seattle as well to see if he might be able to help, but I'm not sure if he's into that band or not. Think you'd have a friend at the show you could give the cash to and have someone else buy it? I'm sure it's limited to one per person. Hit me back! I can give you $ or we can trade.... Joe, i'll see what i can do. I'll try to buy two or find a friend to buy an extra one for you.
  14. I'm sure the band will allocate a certain amount for each show. Even still, with only 275 being made that doesn't amount to many to sell at each show. Thankfully Vancouver is the 3rd show so i'm hoping i'll get one.
  15. I gotta say i'm not stoked on this new art work. But i'm also not a big fan of Christy Road's artwork. "My Brain Hurts" is probably my favorite Screeching Weasel LP, so many good songs, and the artwork was fine the way it was.
  16. yeah stop by Scratch, that's where i work. Dandelion sometimes has some good shit in stock, they're on Broadway & Main street. Zulu has a bunch of good shit in right now, and Audiopile always has some gems. For sightseeing i recommend Stanley Park, grab a cupcake on Denman street and go to English Bay and stare out at the sea, Lynn Valley suspension bridge (might be closed due to ice/snow), Van Duesen Gardens is nice, and there's a nice public garden in China Town. Like books? Stop at Pulp Fiction on Main St. just off Broadway. Really close to Dandelion . And there's a great coffee shop called Our Town right t there and across from Pulp Fiction is a vegatarian/vegan place to eat called Foundation.
  17. Record Stores: Easy Street Everyday Music (on Broadway) Singles Going Steady Jive Time Zions Gate If you're in to book stores the "Half Price Books" in Capitol Hill is really good. FOOD Top Pot Donuts (on 6th Ave downtown i believe) Hurricane (good diner) tons of good seafood I'm actually drawing a blank on the places i eat when i'm in Seattle.
  18. Got my Trial LP preorder from Panic Records. Looks good.
  19. How about you PM what you're willing to pay and i'll contemplate selling you my copy. I've only played 2 or 3 times tops.
  20. I hear what you guys are saying about the Scratch website. The reason we have so many out of print items still listed on the site is because who ever built our site did it wrong, and basically if we take 1 item off the site than the whole system crashes. The way it was explained to me was that every item is numbered, so if you have 1-2-3-4 and you take 2 out... shit crashes (or something like that). One of my job here is dealing with stores for wholesale orders so i hear this complaint all the time , and i agree it's frustrating. As for non-collector items not being in stock, it's near impossible for us to stock everything all the time. Sorry. Thanx to those who said kind words about our store.
  21. I work at Scratch Records actually. We're a distro and a store. In eastern Canada there's FAB and Sonic Unyon. Aaron, contact me if you need help with anything. my work email is [email protected]
  22. Fay Wray Panthro UK United 13 Jawbreaker/Samiam 7" small brown bike f Radon Ruination Scouts Honor Sparkmarker 7" Bread the Edible Napkin comp LP Against Me - RAR Hot Water Music - Fuel Great label . Wish the old zines would be put into a book because mine are falling apart.
  23. A few months back i found 2 sealed copies of an early 80's compilation out of Montreal called Primitive Air Raid. This record is rare in any form, let alone sealed. I found them in a local store, $20 each! Good score for sure. But i also wanted to hear such bands as the Nils and Vomit Lunch so i cracked it without hesitation. I buy & collect records for the music, so i do listen to records that are worth $100 on a regular basis (and i'm not talking about records from the 90's or whatever, i'm talking late 70's early 80's punk/hardcore).
  24. This past weekend me and my GF were in Seattle to see Lucero play. We missed the first band and really wished we had missed the 2nd band as well (they sucked!), but Lucero were on fire! They played for 2 hours and it was a classic Lucero set. The band was flown to the NW for 2 shows so they were in "lets party and have fun" mode. Everyone except Brian was wasted by about the half way point of the 2 hour set. And even though Brian was sober he was acting pretty silly including some interpetive dance and other antics. It was nice to see Rick Steph (sp?) on keyboards at this show as i didn't think he played with the band very often. It was also really cool to hear the band rip thru "Dirty Old Town" by the Pogues to close out the set. The set list featured alot of songs i wanted to hear but they didn't play "The War" because Ben was too drunk and probably couldn't remember all the words (he fucked up 2 songs in a row forgetting lyrics). damn lucero is a great band!
  25. I got mine from the UK the other day, it's worth it for the acoustic version of '59 Sound on the B-side.
