  1. I hope the distributor/store i work for gets the copies i ordered. If you live in Vancouver, BC, keep your eye out at Scratch Records for this LP.
  2. i've been buying from Var when it was only a zine. What was that early 7"... it was a ska band... crankshaft?Or maybe that was just something i ordered from Var with some earlu zines. I've got way too many of their releases but one of my most prized records is Fay Wray "I Love Everyone" test pressing!! One of the best No Idea bands, and sadly the most unappreciated (i think)
  3. These new songs might very well be their best songs yet! And that's saying alot considering the high quality of the previous singles and the LP. If you've seen them play in the last year you might've heard some of these songs.
  4. stoked for the coffee mug!! I'm a sxe guy who drinks coffee, so i'd rather have a coffee mug than a pint glass. Although a pint glass is great for drinking iced tea.
  5. Waxwing are an underrated band. I keep hoping that they'll play another show or maybe Rocky will drop a song into his solo set.
  6. My first order didn't go thru but my 2nd one did. I'm getting the special silk sreened version!
  7. I really like this LP, but i wish Greg would sing even more. There's something about that guys voice..... Mark Lanegan also has a great bad ass voice.
  8. I've been loving this band for the past year or so. Just the other night i transferred all their vinyl i have onto my computer with my USB turntable. Now i can rock the singles on the walk to work!
  9. I fuckin' hate that guy!! He, along with Devendra Banhart, can eat my shit. But that's just my opinion. To each their own.
  10. Great band!! A couple of them used to be in an even more amazing bands called the Bonaduces back in the late 90's/early 2000's. The Paperbacks have 2 cd's out, plus they did a session for CBC radio that you should be able to find. They're touring canada this summer, playing Vancouver on July 18th with Carpenter.
  11. Tix are on sale for the Vancouver show. We have them at my work. I'm actually doing a show for Ceremony the same night, but my show is all ages and the other is a bar show so i should be able to make it for Matt Pryor at least.
  12. Heck yeah!! I never bought the CD reissues because who cares about CD's right? But i'll probably buy the LP's even though i've got my original records. Is anyone ever going to re-release the Avail 7" from when they had a different singer? Tim was playing drums at that point. There's some good moments on that record.
  13. Pretty stoked that this tour is coming to Vancouver in a few weeks. Hopefully both of them have vinyl for their new releases.
  14. Dude i live in Vancouver and i flew to the Fest last year and it was so worth it! I can't wait to see who's playing this time around. I'm hoping that since Sludgeworth, All, Weston, Big Drill Car and Sweet Baby are doing reunion shows that maybe some of them will play the Fest.
  15. Yeah that Shook Ones show is going to be amazing! I'm hoping they'll play some of their new songs. The bands we have opening are solid as well, all young , up & coming Vancouver bands.
  16. Not sure how many people from Western Canada, or the pacific Northwest, are on this board but i figured it couldn't hurt to post this update about shows i'm doing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. 17. Stoked! I love the young livers LP. I'm such an idiot for not going to see them in Gainesville the night before the fest started.
  18. For the past 6 or more weeks all my vinyl has been packed in boxes because i was moving. But the past few days i've been unpacking everything and i came to a conclusion; god damn my record collection rulez!! Seriously... I find a new appreciation for my records every time i move and i don't have them in front of me for a few days.
