  1. The seattle show is the same night as the get up kids. I'm going down for that show with my fiance, hopefully i can see D4 as well.
  2. Tons to do in Vancouver ! For gig info you can check www.livevan.com. And stop at Scratch Records, that's where i work. If you're down for a hike you should do the Grouse grind. I can help with more Vancouver info, just drop me a line.
  3. Congrats man. I got engaged a few months back and you're right, it is pretty exciting.
  4. A year ago i was just moving in with my lady. And now we're engaged. Never saw that coming!
  5. Man the first song on that Jackie Carol record is unbelievable! It's damn near a perfect pop song. Everything about it; song structure, the vocals, the guitar tone, the little feedback squeals, etc just add up to a perfect song.
  6. Ordered the ON LP and the GBNF 7". Stoked on this label!
  7. If you order from React Records you should also order the Gone But Not Forgotten 7" that went up for preorder today. Solid straight edge hardcore from seattle.
  8. I'm hoping to make it to the Portland show, but maybe they'll add Seattle. The 1st time i saw them was around when the first album came out, they were opening for Snuff. This must've been 1990? Amazing show, and every time i saw them in the years following they were just as good.
  9. Joe you should be hooking my friend mike up with promo for his radio show; Flex your Head on CITR, (podcasts at www.flexyourhead.net) It's Vancouver's longest running hardcore radio show, 20 years or something. He buys your releases when i get them into Scratch, but i know he'd gladly take some free shit.
  10. If anyone needs a copy i have one that i haven't listened to yet. i'm not a Breeders fan really, but i saw Mark Lanegan's name on one track so i grabbed it from my work. email me some offers ([email protected])
  11. Are they still playing LA on May 7th? That was the original date i saw and that happens to be the day i come to LA for a vacation. Anyone got some info for me?
  12. Anyone have info for the LA show on May 7th? That's the day i fly into LA, would be stoked to see Ringers play.
  13. The Vancouver show was great! Loved the cover of Tom Petty's "American Girl". Almost 80minute set.
  14. In a few weeks i'm heading to LA, and have been looking into record stores in the area. Yesterday someone told me about a new store called VACATION, on Hollywood Blvd and Vermont. Has anyone been there yet? Just wondering if it's worth hitting up. thanx
  15. Let me say i'm so not stoked with how the label has handled this 7" series. It's April and i haven't received any records , and i sent in my money when they first announced the series, which i believe was November(?) And when i emailed the label they said the first 2 "should" start shipping in April but they had no idea about the other 2. How the fuck can you take money for a series of 4 singles but have no plan in place?!!
  16. Car Button Cloth (or whatever it's called) is great and has the song "Outdoor Type" which is in my top 5 Lemonheads songs.
  17. I'm stunned, and don't know what to say. I used to mailorder from Little Type quite a bit. And every time i got a package she'd write a note saying thanx. My orders from Little Type always came quickly and if i ever sent an email asking a question the reply was always prompt. While death is horrible (obviously) it's nice that she passed on in her home with loved ones all around. That's all anyone can really ask for. R.I.P.
  18. I've got 1 copy of Pedro the Lion - Big Trucks 7" for sale or trade. This is way out of print, and this is an unplayed/mint copy that i recently discovered in the warehouse at my work. Send trade and/or cash offers to [email protected] I can send pictures if you need to see the record.
  19. yeah i figured they sent alot of these out. Still pretty damn cool don't you think?
  20. I just got the new Bouncing Souls 7" in the mail from Chunksaah and inside the package was an extra little record. See the pictures below... but basically it's the new 7" with the vinyl holding the music cut away, leaving just the center label and the run off groove. I doubt if it's very rare but it was a nice little surprise to find in my envelope! Did anyone else get one of these? Super excited to get this single... time to throw it on the stereo...
  21. The art is a woodcut by Frans Masereel, look his shit up and your mind will be blown!! I'm pretty stoked on this show and this poster CJ..... you should think about coming out for this show. flights between Calgary and Vancovuer aren't that much.
  22. People, what about the song selections?! Yes colored vinyl is cool but what about the fact that Two Cow Garage is covering a great Springsteen song?! That's what we should be discussing here.
  23. Let me be the first to say... that i was hoping OWTH would cover someone better. The Nobodys were a terrible band. I am looking forward to hearing Lemuria cover the Pixies though!
