  1. tomfiend, you rule man, finally someone who knows how to have fun!
  2. Be careful what you wish for, it just might come true! But yeah I guess you don't get that as much as I was serious about it being good, posting it there, in moonbeam's thread was a joke. I'm having fun. It's like character based comedy, seems to be lost on you, as is this thread, doubt you would understand, you seem to be pretty dim, as well as a buzzkill. Also I said that they were good *together*, on a pizza, which they are, no lie. Don't believe me? Try it yourself... The Jalapeno is so spice, so spice, and the Pineapple cools it down, it is a symbiotic relationship. (I know you fail english so you can go ahead and google that word) And I said it probably wouldn't convert people who aren't into pineapple, what's wrong with that? And that you should avoid spicy foods if you have a stomach ailment like chron's or colitis. make sense? Not sure why you feel the need to follow me from thread to thread, chirping me calling me a Canuck as if that has anything to do with anything. Very nationalist of you. You could just simply stay out of threads you don't like and participate in threads you do.
  3. Man that counts hard! Thank you! Awesome.... I like em too. All different flavours and sauces. I know lots of people hate when people post pics of food, but I think this is the perfect place for that type of thing. Especially if you go out for some crazy meal you normally wouldn't have on a daily basis. Variety is the spice of life!
  4. Cause I make and study music, so I don't really feel a need to puff up my chest and yammer on about it all day.
  5. Chill bro, we're here to discuss food, there are other threads if you are not feelin' this one. Also you fail the English language.
  6. Who me? I was just kidding, I love food... or did you actually think I was a plant-based lifeform? I hear food and I'm all...
  7. Again, image is not really appropriate. She's got a glass sitting right in front of her, she knows what's up. Try harder next time. This is a food/drink appreciation thread.
  8. Homer loves food, should have picked any other facepalm. Picard is a pretty lean dude, I wonder if he follows a raw vegan diet.
  9. That would be the original vinyl press, right? (Not the RFC pizza cover one, I know) I would like to get one of the heart cover CDs that came out on Prison Jazz, if anyone is willing to part with one.
  10. Hey man, he's just trying to help people find their white whales. Hahaha. So good.
  11. Did a search and nothing came up, kinda hard to believe, I know. So here goes... Food and Drink... Go forth and discuss... I, for one, absorb energy from the sunlight, and nutrients from the soil and therefore, do not eat food, but I'm interested to hear what the rest of you have to say...
  12. Nah, not tonight, you know what they say... too much of a good thing... Apple pie would hit the spot... or Strawberry/Rhubard.... daaaaaaaaamn homie
  13. That dual facepalm for the OP/thread or for my comments about pizza? You really ought to try it man it's good...
  14. Old habits die hard. Actually I had an 80gig iPod that wiped itself and didn't have the stuff backed up. Buying off iTunes doesn't seem like buying so much as renting, so I think that illegal downloads actually make more sense, in a way. If I'm going to buy, I buy physical. I like to support the artists, especially my favourite bands. I like some weird shit and some of those bands struggle. If you are downloading some huge artists I could care less but if you are downloading the entire discography of a struggling band that's pretty weak and buying a t-shirt doesn't really make it any more legit. I like .wav quality audio... I also have a boner for analog, but tapes get eaten/stretched and for vinyl there's inner groove distortion and you need a pro TT set up to fully enjoy that shit... The *best* format is 2" reel-to-reel tape. Has to be all analog though, from source to output. It's funny to me when ppl have a big boner for vinyl but the album was recorded in protools. I use protools myself but maaaaan, something about all analog, amps, drums, mics, a Neve console, analog tape. BONER.
  15. Yo, no lie, I am totally into pineapple in general and that def includes on pizza, but I'll share a little tip for the pizza lovers out there. Jalapeno + Pineapple is key. Doesn't matter what else is on it, but those 2 together are total win. If you don't like spicy, or don't like pineapple (esp on pizza) then disregard, you prob won't be converted, but I would say still worth a shot, unless you have stomach ailments and should avoid spicy food. It's like the Jalapeno spices it up, but the Pineapple cools it right down. Yin and Yang.
  16. I think one of the best reasons to buy physical is for the liner notes. Who performed what, who produced, engineered, mixed, mastered, who did the artwork and layout, lyrics, thanks, etc. Artwork can expand upon the atmosphere the music creates in much the same way that a good live production can, only you can bring it home and don't have to live in whatever city, or travel. I like knowing these things (album personnel) so I can figure out who's doing the stuff I like and follow their career. One example could be: a band you love might lose a member and their new albums sucks, so maybe you'll go check out other bands instead, based on who's in them. Like if one guitar player leaves, and they were a main creative force within the band, and now the band sucks since they left, maybe you'll go check out that guitar player's new band, instead.
  17. That's decent of him, for sure. Not saying he's an awful dude, I just think his reviewing is weak and superoverhyped since he got mainpaged on youtube. Also the parts where he attempts humor fail. When I first heard of him I immediately thought he was annoying, then he kinda grew on me and I didn't mind him, but now I just think that his reviews are really shallow, and don't do justice to the work he is judging. I feel like he has no specialization and therefore, has no high ground to stand on. Lots of people seem to be really big followers of his, but I think those are people who have inferior knowledge of music, so to them he seems like he knows a lot.
  18. No, I genuinely believe that his knowledge of the majority of stuff he reviews is entry-level. A clear case of quantity over quality.
  19. Check out his review of the new 'Tyler the Crater' album. The part where he won't get off Domo Genesis' tip is hilarious. Just comes off as a total hipster who's trying way too hard when he suddenly switches to 'hip-hop' style diction. It's like he's trying to pretend that he's 'hard' or 'street', in the same way that he's trying to pretend that he still wears a medium. Seriously I can't tell if dude is fat or ripped, all I know for sure is his shirt doesn't fit his torso.
  20. I disagree wholeheartedly. I see him more as a jack-of-all-trades master of none. Watching his reviews are a lot like reading Wikipedia articles, it's good if you want a very broad, vague skim-over of a subject you previously knew nothing about. But if you are already familiar you won't learn anything you don't already know. He seems to just scratch the surface. A lot of the words he uses to describe the way things sound are very vague and it just comes off like he has a very shallow understanding of music. He also seems like he tries way too hard. And his shirt is always way too tight. Dude needs to quit buying mediums, he is easily at least a large, if not, an XL.
  21. Sound off on Anthony Fantano of The Needle Drop, review the reviewer and his reviews. Curious how y'all feel about this dude/his reviews...
