Album is out today. It is great.
Played a bunch of new songs at the show last night. Just him and a guitar. Very cool to hear the songs that way and then listen to the album this morning.

These aren’t really songs. It’s like song brainstorming.

Yeah, the lineup is definitely missing a bridge-gap band, someone like Jimmy Eat World, Thursday or Dashboard Confessional — bands distinctly rooted in the 2nd wave but a huge reason the 3rd wave took off. Of course, all three of those bands are playing the pop-punk fest in Vegas the following weekend, lol.
The only other band I can think of with that level of name recognition from that time would be At The Drive-In, but they're currently back-burnered while Cedric and Omar do the Mars Volta again.
They're trying to sell this fest like it's some debaucherous thing, offering unlimited-alcohol upgrades and $8000 "VIP cabanas" and shit, and I'm like, dude, I just wanna watch Karate and Rainer Maria in peace.
I’m thinking in a perfect world they haves best friends Thursday and Friday and WWWY Saturday and Sunday. With club after shows spread across the weekend

The lineup is amazing in my eyes
BUT
can any of these bands headline a venue over 1,000 people?
luckily I’ve seen most of these bands at riot fest in recent years

I should have clarified I knew it wasn’t what you were looking for. I went in my google sheets to look for it and this was all I had.

Real answer: start the record after the hole.

I never think to listen to Owen but if I see anything in the news it gets to to go through the entire catalog

Unfortunately sentimental value is only worth anything to you. Sentimental value cannot be transferred by sale.

Tell me they just got back together and I haven’t been missing out

I wish I was more savvy and bought multiple copies from hot topic rather than just one for personal use.

It's ugh, really "cringe" (as the kids say 👴🏻) even though I do both of those things. I also listen to major label music and drink Miller High Life 😄. I wouldn't advertise either one 🙃.
I drink beer and listen to music

I can only imagine how popular brand new would be right now based on the treatment bands like the used, thursday, and yellowcard are getting.

Damn nice offer. Do they play in the US anymore?

This is like an adult contemporary version of TBS which as an adult resonates more with me.

When he introduced it he said the working title of it was “led” because he wanted it to sound like Led Zeppelin but it ended up sounding like a Robert plant solo song instead
