  1. If it doesn't work, don't pay for it. Take it back. I used to rebuild TTs for money, and I never let one go without them testing it first.
  2. Um. Tell that to every vendor selling it. And you know, the company who makes it.
  3. I buy demos/floor models. I don't think I've paid full price for a single item in any of my setups.
  4. OLED or bust. 720p? Jesus man have some self respect.
  5. Clearaudio Satisfy (Marantz) vs Verify (Concept) is not debatable.
  6. No where near as good as the Marantz package. Marantz has a better arm, better cart, better feet, just better all around. And the Marantz is way cheaper! C'mon son.
  7. I don't follow your question, what do you mean by what percentage of the water is usable? For the RT-PCR is less filtration and more testing. PCR is the amplification of DNA, so they make sure this water has no other DNAs. I work in metagenomics (bacterial communities) and the water I use is fine, and not thousands of dollars.
  8. I mean, if you want that as a hobby, sure. Not having a turntable isn't the end of the world. There is still music available in other medias. A spare table seems silly to me. I mean, Allen has multiple tables, so you know...Allen.
  9. Here's my argument on vintage vs. modern... We've made technological advancements in audio since 1977 (when the 2235B came out). Yes, there are some lower end brands that have become worse in age, but there are more than enough brands that have used technological advancements to make audio better.
  10. I'll tell you this 1) I gave you a reputation to give you 666. And will give you plenty of negatives to keep you there. 2) The Marantz TT-15S1 is more stunning in person. Go to a Best Buy and look in person if you haven't. 3) You'll want to upgrade from your Marantz 2235B. Also why not use the preamp in the Marantz 2235B? But really, bang for you buck, the Marantz crushes all. The Satisfy tonearm? The Virtuoso cart? Seriously. No other choice for $1k.
  11. Welcome back! I would look into proper height placement for your Tannoy's.They seem a bit high.
  12. https://www.thermofisher.com/order/catalog/product/AM9935 If you do the math, this costs $6,333.33 per liter. I am a RT-PCR specialist, and I can't imagine anyone ever using this... but it exists.
  13. Distilled deionized water is more important than RO. Laura Dearborn states 25% isopropyl. Meaning starting with 99.9999% and 1:4 mix. Honestly, if you're buying a VPI, buy cleaner. MoFi or Something. I was making it (as you might have read) bc I had access to lab grade chemicals for free. Once you buy everything lab grade, you'll be spending the same just purchasing pre made. When end I get to my lab, I'll post a link for the world s most expensive water.
  14. It has 2 and Blue in its name, practically the same
  15. Close, Blue Point No.2, an MC cart from Sumiko.http://www.needledoctor.com/Sumiko-Blue-Point-No-2
  16. I would say, save a little bit more. Get something in a bit higher of a price range. That table, and you, deserves better.
