Has she talked to you about specifically why she is so against it? Not just "it's bad" Maybe coordinate your non tobacco time around when she will be working or sleeping if she doesn't like to talk to you after the fact? But from what it sounds, she wouldn't even be down with that. And this is not meant in a bad way, but unless there is some deep emotional issue against it, maybe she just needs to be educated on it. Weed's got a bad rep around folks who aren't aware of the positive properties.

Rachel. I went to school in Nederland with Stephen, and went to a lot of their shows around '03 - '04. They definitely have a different sound now! Not really my style, but it's good to see a local setx band succeed.

Saw This Will Destroy You when I was sickish. Not even half way through I could hardly muster the energy to stand and had to leave. The powerful sound didn't help at all, but was so good at the same time.

We have a similar bar called The Flying Saucer. You pay a fee to join the club and then try every beer on the menu. Once that's done they personalize a saucer with a phrase or quote of your choosing and your name, and they hang it up on the wall/ceiling. Something I wouldn't mind doing if I make more money in the future.

For the first time in my M-F career, I'm kind of glad the weekend is almost over because tomorrow I can find out what the shit I'm getting.

I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to beer even though I started branching out from my normal Sierra Nevada Torpedo a couple years ago. I've never been on a brew tour and I'm still at a loss when it comes to what beers are proper for what drinkware, or how to determine mouth feel and nose characteristics. I'm just over here like, yeah this is good shit.
