  1. SRC Vinyl still have the listing up. Don't worry about pre-ordering, there will be PLENTY of this record to go around. Tim Reynolds re-joined DMB as a touring member at the end of 2007, he's played every show since...there are a few tracks I miss what Butch added but overall I think Tim is bloody amazing and an integral part of DMB. https://www.srcvinyl.com/dave-matthews-band-crash-2xlp.html SoundStage changed it to "discontinued" but it's coming soon, absolutely http://www.soundstagedirect.com/dave-matthews-band-crash-20-anniversary-180-gram-vinyl-records.shtml
  2. Great post, and the reaction to the crappy mastering for Nevermind's 20th anniversary release clearly got to UMe's ears because they re-used the ORG stampers for Nevermind under the UMe/Geffen label in 2013, pressed at Pallas. It's only $21.99 on Amazon. For BTCS it's estimated only around 1,000 to 2,000 copies at most of BTCS ever saw release in stores, the vast majority were sent out in boxes of QTY=30 with promo notches in them already. Consider only 180 people have it on Discogs, most of those acquiring it within the past 5 years or so, vs. 1100 for BWGK. Seems like it was more for people like Letterman to hold up when introducing the band. I snagged an OP of Vs recently for US$30 shipped on Discogs, worth putting an e-mail notification and placing it in your "wantlist" as then you'll see every copy that's listed.
  3. Same here man, can't imagine in 2016 they'd try and release a record that hits 33m/side, would be interested to hear someone compare Chloe Dancer / Crown of Thorns to the MOV release of "Mother Love Bone" to see just how much quieter and noisier the Singles version will be, the MOV SIDE D runs @ 19 minutes.
  4. Definitely complaining with regards to UTTAD, very disappointing given the previous year's releases leading up to that one had shown such promise (Live Trax using fully dynamic masterings from the original 16/44.1 mix files mastered by Scott Hull @ MASTERDISK, moving pressing from URP to Record Industry, etc) but UTTAD had some pretty God-awful mishaps - using the wrong master tape resulting in the deletion of 2 mins of sax from one of your deceased founding members! I did also note what was being done right (http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2WU0KTOS4WXO/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00O5HX2EK) But at the end of the day, we still got more info about UTTAD than we're getting about a single PJ vinyl. And this isn't directed at you, but people have pretty tender sensibilities if they get their knickers in a twist so badly they think I'm telling them whether or not they should buy it.
  5. DR levels of vinyl rips don't tell you much, do keep up! http://productionadvice.co.uk/tt-meter-not-for-vinyl/
  6. I'm only involved in the vinyl releases and can speak about those with 100% certainty, but I am pretty sure we're getting bonus tracks on the digital packages. It was 10 days between Elusive Disc listing UTTAD and DMB posting the full details, so hopefully we'll know in a similar time frame. I know how good the vinyl sounds, now I'm champing at the bit to see what else is coming. Also to the best of my knowledge BTCS will be done the same (AAA) and thus if you haven't bought one of the '98 STERLING releases, I'd consider that now a mission worth shelving. The remaster will blow it away.
  7. I'd wager timsimmons is correct that AS only have the tracklisting for the bonus disc up...hopefully it's not a 2LP of the original soundtrack on one LP and those other tracks a bonus LP because the existing Singles OST as a single LP runs: SIDE A - 33:02 SIDE B - 31:47 Awful, especially when the original CD sounds so good - notice "Would?" has a better mastering on the OST than it does on Alice in Chains' "Dirt"? Nice.
  8. Especially when you have as much of a boner for vinyl as Pearl Jam does. But then again, Stone has a Bose Wave Radio in his house, lol.
  9. Thousands upon thousands, but if you prefer spending your money on CDs cut to vinyl, I fully support your right to do that...yay capitalism! Your last sentence, does that even make sense?
  10. What if that IS the full tracklisting? lol I mean, Singles ideally as it stands needs a 2LP release, so if those extra 18 tracks aren't digital-only then we'll need a 3-4LP set.
  11. Another impossibly vague vinyl announcement by a major artist. Pearl Jam care more about offering vinyl than the execution of it. What's the source material? Where is it being pressed? Is this the first time No Code is being specifically mastered for vinyl in which case the original is the CD cut to vinyl, or is this the first time No Code is being specifically mastered for vinyl by Bob Ludwig? Again, impossibly vague. How do they reissue Ten and not realize that 28 minutes for SIDE A is far too long? Vs. was WB@NRP and that was pressed at URP, pretty soundly panned. There hasn't been a single title in the Pearl Jam vinyl reissue series that has mentioned the source material, not once. How does Pearl Jam, the band who released Vitalogy in 1995 with a two week exclusive vinyl window get vinyl so wrong while Dave Matthews Band, who didn't even do a single widescale vinyl release until 2009, are doing vinyl so right (Crash has been cut all analogue from the original stereo master tape by Chris Bellman @ Bernie Grundman Mastering and pressed at MPO) Hopefully in a few years a specialty label like MFSL, Analogue Productions, ORG Music, Audio Fidelity, etc., may license these for AAA vinyl and analogue > DSD SACD Hybrid releases. AF licensed the 1/2" 30ips analogue master tapes for RATM's debut for a direct to DSD Hybrid SACD release coming out June 17th, mastered by Steve Hoffman, and so there is a whimper of hope that these incredible Pearl Jam albums, coming under the same label umbrella, may some day get the treatment they deserve. If anyone wants to retire their original pressings, I'll buy them off you for the cost of the new pressings.
  12. Test pressings can't indicate what source material they were cut from, but the sleeves and deadwax indicate MPO and CB's initials are in the deadwax. Indeed this one was cut from the original analogue master tape, it is really wonderful to hear Carter's amazing hi-hat and cymbal work throughout this album without the copious amounts of clipping found on the CD.
  13. Product image has been updated, says "Remastered on 2x180gm vinyl" with a catalogue # and UMC / Virgin EMI. I've sent off an e-mail to see if we can ascertain source lineage, mastering credit and pressing house.
  14. Just in case anyone misses the thread where Conditions repressing is being discussed or wonders why there is no update here - http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/120132-temper-trap-conditions-vinyl-reissue/#entry2574313
  15. I think it depends on how it's done, if this was recorded to tape and they do a proper AAA cut of it pressed someplace like MPO who do whisper quiet, dead centred pressings, it could definitely either reduce the value of an original or reduce the # of people looking for one. If it comes out without any information regarding the mastering, cutting, pressing, etc., I expect the original will retain its full value.
  16. Saw this posted by Paul @ Super Deluxe Edition this morning, The Verve's 1995 masterpiece A Northern Soul is getting a re-release on vinyl, the original is fairly easy to find but costs you a pretty penny. I've paid over US$100 for a NM copy back around 2009, just still wasn't quiet enough though. Hopefully we get more source info on this one before release date, which is August 26th. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Northern-Soul-VINYL-Verve/dp/B01DVG3UII/ http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/the-verve-a-northern-soul-2lp-vinyl/
  17. Well Liberation I believe is the original AUS label and they might be answering all queries from the public and not aware that Infectious has repressed it. Glad to hear the matrices are identical, that's really key. Plus a proper Infectious dl card? Yeah, I figured when I saw the list of sellers it wouldn't be a boot but I'm definitely relieved to hear that's the case.
  18. Avoid the XX remaster of Rage debut. Avoid the last Jane's Addiction album on vinyl. In each case it sounds like they've tried to cut the same awful loudness wars CD to vinyl and it sounds worse. Not surprisingly Vlado Meller was the mastering engineer on both. Want RATM? Get the original all analogue US cut or second best would be original UK or Music on Vinyl MOVLP043, some Amazon sellers still have it in stock.
  19. I think your first sentence is the clue to the answer to the last question! It's gone on every Amazon site, I checked Japan, Germany, Spain, France, Canada and UK. Wow, that was lucky. Indian Records still have in stock, if you want this...don't wait! It's over $100 on eBay now too.
  20. I imagine it's DMM, it's right on the lacquer and the sticker notes it's One Little Indian still and is the copy you can buy directly from them. So how does it sound, well the pressing quality isn't fantastic, mine is noisy between tracks and has a few ticks here and there but none so far that would cause you to be worried about the volume on your speakers, but despite those issues...HOLY MOSES does this one sound good? I put on SIDE B first and it said 33rpm but within a few seconds of the track playing I knew it was 45rpm so I removed the platter and changed the belt and then got taken for a ride...Becoming X was the first tracks I listened to - granted I haven't listened to it in several years and I've never listened to it critically, but it sounded absolutely amazing! I seriously could not believe just how cracking this track sounded, and I recently upgraded my fronts from Paradigm Monitor 11v4 to Acoustic Energy AElite3, the bass response on this record is beyond reproach! Stunning, visceral, do not hesitate to add to your collection if you were on the fence.
  21. According to Lunatic Entertainment/The Temper Trap HQ "it definitely hasn't been re-printed in any official capacity". I had sent them links to the listings. they also went on to say regarding getting the title back in print, "it's been an ongoing work in progress for a while now. And definitely something that has been discussed, a lot. We will get there eventually." Is there any chance the UK/EU distributor may have just pressed more? I know the matrices will tell us much more on this that just speculating, but I suppose what I'm wondering is, is it possible an official distributor may have pressed more without the artist knowing?
  22. Anyone else pick this up yet? I really like the vast majority of the album, especially tracks 3 and tracks 5-7, but the vinyl was not pressed very well, there is an intrusive amount of noise in between tracks. Underworld vinyl is usually very good, I have many of the 12" releases and LPs, Oblivion With Bells and Barking in particular were excellent...can't suss out from the matrices who pressed this, shame it wasn't MPO. Digital versions have pretty harsh mastering, the 24-bit/96kHz flac download that comes with the vinyl is actually MORE peak-limited than the CD files, WTF? As I usually do with loudness wars CDs, this one goes in the car where a lack of dynamics isn't particularly noticeable. I was not keen on the opening track, but I'm about four or five listens through now and loving most of it.
  23. Yeah I just came to discuss the repress too. I got mine for 13 pounds way back when and when I saw the market value a few years later and wanted to buy a copy of The Verve's A Northern Soul in minty condition, I couldn't resist and sold it for US$400, spent $125 on The Verve and another $125 on a Classic Clarity 33rpm of PG3. It must have been repressed in the UK, all those sellers are pretty recognizable as sellers I've seen selling vinyl in the marketplace for years. I'm going to order a copy too. The mastering on the Conditions CD is horrible, the vinyl if memory serves correctly sounded not massively better, but better enough that for $20 I'll take a chance. If anyone has an original, can they note the matrices in here please? Also on topic, new track is cool. The lead single for the second album was a bit of an odd choice given the vast majority of the rest of the album was more "Temper Trappy" and far superior hooks and lyrics. Pretty much from track#3 onwards, magic. Vinyl wasn't very good quality pressing though. Also they're charging $16 shipping even if you only have a CD in your cart, I'll wait for Amazon!
  24. Still available at the link in the post directly under yours, and on Amazon UK, US and Canada and probably several other EU locations too.
  25. Pic of my test pressings of DMB's Live Trax Vols 2 and 3, each was limited to 5 copies. From Record Industry, Netherlands. They moved to MPO for Remember Two Things onwards.
