  1. Sorry about the delayed response, been on a little hiatus lately. I really enjoy it. My favorite Toro album is Anything in Return and this is my second favorite thing he's done any album wise. It's a been short and there's some space in there. I saw an article say there were a lot of psych/prog/jazz influences in there and I would say that is fairly accurate. There aren't a lot of vocals through the entire album but you should give it a shot.
  2. That was my thought too. I can mix market this to any and all fans of my material, regardless of if it sounds like what I've been doing on my own name for at least the past five years.
  3. I listened to a song or two and I guess I'm an anomaly in that I don't hate it so far. Granted not much to base an opinion on but still.... I guess I was always a fan of his earlier (anything) works. Somewhere along the line, I guess I stopped following him so feverishly and failed to develop much of a taste, or opinion of his work these last few years. I did see him live in Dec and have to admit that I enjoyed the show much more than I would have anticipated. I actually wanted to listen to all his newer releases from front to back, that's how much I enjoyed the show. I haven't listened to enough of the new album to contribute anything of merit. So far don't love it or hate it but its much easier for me to give it a chance because he isn't gonna remake GOTGH or any other SKM album of past (obvious on first listen). I only wish he would label albums like these, under the proper moniker and that in my opinion is Mark Kozelek. My only complaint right now is that echoed by another poster, this isn't instrument based Sun Kil Moon. It's basically another musical diary from Mark, which is his right, and far be it for me to complain. However label it as such and don't raise our hopes of something more along the lines of traditional Sun Kil Moon.
  4. I'm guessing that there are still a few hundred left waiting to be price gouged.
  5. Seats in KC, really didn't anticipate them stopping through on such a short US run.
  6. Hopesfall - Satellite Years (Clear/Purple Splatter) Chaz Bundick Meets the Mattson 2 - Star Stuff (Clear) King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard - Flying Microtonal Banana (Reptilian Poison Wax) Thee Oh Sees/Ty Segall - The Drag/Maria Stacks 7" (Half Pink/Green) Thee Oh Sees - An Odd Entrances (Blood Orange) Chester Watson - Past Cloaks (VMP Black/Grey Marble) NIN - The Fragile, The Fragile: Deviations
  7. He had 1 vinyl. Literally 1 copy of the Xmas songs and it sold before the show started. That being said, he put on an amazing show and was quite jovial and friendly.
  8. They had me at "you will find it here." Judging by the responses on social media, it would seem as though there will definitely be more colored re-presses in the future.
  9. He said on FB earlier he was putting up 20 more at 1230 pst after pulling some strings............and that they sold out again quickly
  10. A lil disappointed the bundle was sold out as I like all three albums. Couldn't pass up Satellite Years and will probably head back to the site after a few beers to pick up Magnetic North. Never thought that would be pressed, such a criminally underrated album.
  11. I've liked variants they've made for other albums better but that shipping price isn't gonna change, regarding Flightless, so I figured why not. Plus I've had an itchy trigger finger waiting on that Thee Oh Sees all week, this is definitely not a bad consolation prize

  16. Didn't look like AFP was available right now. Bummer, I did grab tix last night to go catch him in South Dakota in December so I'll take solace in that.
