  2. Sold out on the DFA website. I'm glad I didn't sleep on it. 2 weeks till shipping.. Can't wait.
  3. fwiw.. I don't know if they're going to put more up in store but there are only 20 copies left if anyone is waiting. But perhaps they are just selling them in batches.. There were 42 in stock about 30-40 mins ago
  4. The $5 shipping now probably means he ran out of Cereal cardboard mailers and is just slapping a shipping label straight on the LP! But hey, it's got shrink wrap.. should be safe.
  5. FWIW I got mine today and I'm east coast. The packaging left mucho to be desired... Going to spin it now.
  6. Your best bet is to call your local store(s) a day or two before RSD and ask if they got it and how many. Based on that, you decide whether to go out or not and how early. If they only get 1 copy and you think other people in your area might be looking for it, just be first in line and you're set.. usually. Depending on where you live, people line up approx 2-10 hours before store opens... ask around your local shop.

  10. I have... My RSD preorders took a while to deliver.. In fact, I ordered from a store an hour away from me in NJ and it took 11 days to deliver it, including sitting in Jersey City for maybe 6 days!!! Unbelievable how inefficient USPS has become. And it's not just records and media mail, etc. I sent a poster via Priority Mail from NJ to AL on 12/5 and it got delivered 12/13! Grrr... I know it's the holidays but it seems much worse this year.
  11. It's funny too because the wording seems to change for me with every cancel. I have gotten like 4 versions of wording from straight up "we canceled your order" with no apology to "we're so sorry we had to cancel but let us make it up to you" with a paragraph apology that states how much they appreciate my business (Lol). I'm still getting codes but some of them never show and it doesn't seem to relate to the wording of the email. Needless to say, I have made out nicely with this situation and I can't complain if its winding down.
  12. I had one cancel today with no mention if a code. We'll see. I had 2 cancel Monday that mentioned codes and I haven't gotten them. I wonder if the code thing varies depending on how many you have already gotten.
  13. No.. different album. I actually read the email closer and after the paragraph about how my card wasn't charged, I found a part that says I should look for "a special discount on you next bestbuy order..." and to look for an email in 2 days. So maybe one is coming but I won't be surprised if it disappears. I guess I was just used to seeing it mentioned in the subject of the email. Maybe the emails are just evolving like the site does.
  14. i had one cancel today with no offer of a code. It was due to cancel on schedule but they made no mention of a code to follow. Anyone have that happen recently?

FYI: I contacted Acoustic Sounds to find out the deal since I'm in the exact same boat and they told me via email that they are out of the purple copies and that is why my order is listed as backordered. They said they don't expect to get any more or the purple and asked me if I wanted to cancel. Since they never contacted me first and I had to ask.. I got the feeling that they would have just shipped the black to me for the same price, which I find shady. Probably would have made me pay to ship it back. Plus they had the purple version available for pre-order for about a week after I ordered so... seriously dissappointed in them. And chasing a refund.. If you don't want the black, I'd reach out and see what they say to you. Maybe I'm the only fool they are screwing but I doubt it. I myself am canceling and remembering to use Soundstage from now on.
  16. It's cool Secrets!! I don't blame you. They clearly advertised the purple one for preorder and if that's not what I get, ill make them fix it. I mostly get frustrated because these stores should only sell/preorder what they can fill. Some stores like Soundstage seem to get it... others still have systems in place that screw customers who preorder. I don't get it. The kick in the nuts is that shipping from Soundstage was free vs. $4 from ASounds and yet SS seems to be filling all their preorders. Sweet.
  17. I'm in the same boat... When I ordered, I was positive it was the purple version and I have a screenshot of that... But checking my email confirm closer, it shows the black code like you... And my order is now listed as back ordered to boot! I know the purple was up for preorder for at least a week after I ordered it so I'm pretty concerned that they over presold to folks. I'm going to be very pissed if they send black for the price they were charging. I should have gone with Soundstage... D'oh!
  18. I had a weird one today: I ordered No Witch today which was listed as Backorder. Supposed to be a 2 week backorder thing but had a delivery date range of 10/29-11/04. Less than 2 weeks, which was strange. Then I checked my email and noticed that it didn't have the usual "... however one or more items are on backorder" text in the subject. Just "We received your order". So I checked and sure enough, they were getting ready to fulfill. I was able to cancel no problem and I then checked the site again and sure enough, it's in stock. Weird.
  19. I had a weird one today. I have 2 orders that canceled last Friday and Sunday and I was told codes were coming... Nothing. Then yesterday, I had one cancel straight up with no offer of a code and today I received a $5 code for it. Weird.
  20. Ok.. Fair enough. I've just seen a few horror stories recently USPS style and didnt want to lose it altogether.
  21. Many reasons.. Maybe say as a gift to their brother for Christmas of the very first band that they went to see in concert together?
  22. Wasn't asking for sympathy.. Was asking for advice from anyone who has 10C/mail innovations experience. If its just delayed, that's fine. I just want to get it. As for Ten Club rules, it was 1 per order. You could order as many times as you liked. I ordered 1 through presale and 1 through regular sale weeks later. They had no problem with it nor should anyone else. And the second copy is for my brother for Christmas so put the flipper pitchforks away!
