  1. The Sigur Ros version of Rains is on there? Sick.
  2. I just think he'd be glad kids are physically buying music and supporting the band/their local record store, instead of downloading illegally or whatever.
  3. I'm pretty impressed by this song. I liked it much more than anything on Youth, the heavier vocals especially.
  4. I'm a bit surprised that Dave Grohl had anything to do with a nine-cover release. I'd think he'd be stoked enough on the fact that kids are buying a single vinyl record at all, let alone from his band. Regardless, it's cool that they fit together. Edit: I didn't post this to irritate anyone, it's just the first thing I thought of when I heard there were nine covers. From interviews I've seen, Grohl seems like he genuinely gives a shit about people buying physical forms of music and, for me at least, putting out nine covers says the opposite.
  5. Just checked out the stream. I've been hoping for more acoustic since Flicker and Fade. Not the exact same vibe, but still good in its own way.
  6. I remember ordering back in April and thinking, "the end of August release for these is pretty far away." Now they've shipped. Bonus points for being sent out about ten days early.
  7. I'd never heard of these guys until this thread, but the singles are pretty sweet. The vocals remind me a little bit of Redder the Better era Polar Bear Club.
  8. The cover looks a little too much like the Kenny vs. Spenny intro.
  9. The beginning of the clip for "Dry" sounds really dark. Can't wait to hear the full song.
  10. I was looking at getting the Warner press of MoP for the 2xLP aspect, so thanks for the heads up. Are there any reasonably priced, decent sounding versions out there?
  11. That's great, they deserve it. I was lucky enough to catch them on the Toronto date, just before the van problems started.
  12. I agree. Their contribution to the four way split was alright, but for me, it didn't compare to anything on Magnolia.
  13. I'm a bit surprised that Revolt is only up to $26, and not surprised that The Things We Think broke $100. Does anyone know what that Pity Sex - Feast of Love test press from RFC went for? It ended days ago, but last time I checked it was at $400.
  14. Fallout 3 and New Vegas, if the songs from the various radio stations were pressed. I don't know if I'd go for either of the game scores, I'd rather just play the games themselves.
  15. I missed out on the white cover, so I grabbed the red/red stripe. I hope, for collectors' sake, they permanently go back to a black cover after this.
  16. I picked up Pipe Dreams at my local record store last fall and the art is a little fuzzy, so I'm a bit bummed that I didn't hold out for the redux. On the other hand, I've been able to listen to it all this time. I wasn't sure what to expect with the band's member changes, but the new single is pretty good. Is there a working Soundcloud link to the full album?
  17. I'm glad RFC did an official cover, but I like the original colouring.
  18. I checked out Makthaverskan - "II" when Run For Cover gave it a North American release recently. It's one of the first dream pop-y records I've heard and I like it a lot.
  19. Looks like they're sticking with the Colourmeinkindness direction, which I'm cool with.
  20. I'll buy it regardless, but I'm curious which variant they'll have on the tour with Pity Sex.
  21. I was also wondering if they'd print new jackets post-name change. If anyone gets their hands on one, post some pictures. I'm curious if the labels are the same, or doodled on, scratched out, etc.
  22. Have Heart - "The Things We Carry" I also bought it before I had my turntable. That seems to be a fairly common occurrence.
  23. I know Death Waltz already pressed the Donnie Darko score, but I wouldn't mind seeing a release with the non-score songs from the director's cut (INXS, Tears for Fears, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc.)
