True, when you break it down, it is YOUR instagram account people. You have free range to take any pic you want and post it any way you want, with any filter… If you like what people are doing, follow em, if not, don't. I'm having a lot of fun doing this, it's nice to be following some VC members who actually care about records because most of my friends aren't as into it. Lost a few followers, probably people I didn't know anyway. At the end of the day, what is one record post a day? If it's bothersome, fuck em!

I didn't think it would be this popular as well, this is awesome, good work! I have friends who are participating who don't even come on VC, and I didn't even tell them about it, so I guess creeping around instagram and word of mouth does a lot. I'm sure people love having an excuse to show off some records

Don't stress about it yet! The collection one is only on the 11th, so you'll have a few more days to figure that out

I got mine today (Moncton, NB, Canada for those wanting use point of reference). Mine are the brown ones. I'm not sure if it's just my copies or if everyone's copies are like mine, but they really aren't that poopy coloured. Mines almost like an orange marble. Other than that, like most people, my jacket has a few little creases, nothing major and definitely not the worst jacket that I had shipped in the mail. Also, noticed an odd skip, nothing too crazy. Overall I'm excited to finally have this and Frank Ocean's Nostalgia.Ultra, from vinyl-digital. Not sure how nostalgia.ultra plays yet though.

If there's one thing I gather from VC and instagram, it's that you are one of the hugest Face to Face fans I've seen, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Same. It would be difficult to take a nice picture of my record and its cover with my current setup. Even if it were different, I would think the cover or record itself should suffice as long as you're not just copying a picture off the internet.

I was unsure if this meant a complete collection or not, which I do not have. So is it alright to post what you own of a certain artist? also, today I had to substitute for a picture disk. i wanted to participate anyway and thought that i'd post a 12" single. I'll probably have to substitute 1 or 2 more sooooo….

Great reception for this project. My friends were asking me about it earlier. Posted my day 5… I am a few time zones ahead of most of you. The only compilation I have, Wu-Tang Meets indie culture vol. 1. I look forward to what's to come.

I am also down for this. You could consider the top 3 or even 5. Maybe the top album gets a few a well written description by one of the voters, or maybe take a few voter descriptions? Also tie breakers could just go into another, shorter round of voting, where people that voted for other records can choose between the 2?

I hear that. My friends swear by it. Couldn't even talk to these guys when it was on Sunday's i believe. Anyway, having access to all the episodes to watch at your discretion is key though.

Really pumped on this! I have a friend who is doing this too who does not participate here at VC. Great 1st day. I was just wondering IF anyone is in the same boat as me where there will have to be some substitutions. I was just wondering if you know you can't participate in one - in my case, the 2 coloured vinyl - what do you guys have planned… i don't really want to just post anything. I'd prefer some fun suggestions. Anyone plan around this?

I haven't watched a single episode, so I'm with you. I'm not saying I never will. I just don't like watching TV as much. If I'm gonna relax, I want my sound to be a favourite record. Ps. 100th post after nearly 6 months of posting lol

Yep this is definitely off to a good start! I think all the people I followed posted something, minus one or two. I just posted mine up as well, I'm excited to see my instagram "wall" when it's all said and done.
