  1. This one is looking like no contest, but I'm gonna throw mine in anyway: The cure - Head on the door
  2. Local band would be awesome. I'm sure there were plenty of local artists posted during the course of this, but having them all in one day would be awesome. Also, I'm kinda bummed this is almost done. PLenty of fun, I'd keep going if you do a February edition but my collection isn't that large at the moment. PS. Posted my "Artist debut" - Archers of Loaf - Icky Mettle
  3. Tough indeed, but I'd say Radiohead for myself if I were to say of all-time. Also Built to Spill and Nas have been bands/artists i've always followed and loved their releases.
  4. $65 on yeezus when it was first released on bootleg, i believe vinyl-digital has it cheaper now. after that 42 for my beautiful dark twisted fantasy. these are canadian prices, so they're always a tad higher than USD.
  5. So many great ones. These were the first that came to mind suicidal tendencies - suicide's an alternative (the laughing, most notably) at the drive in - arcarsenal new order- age of consent weezer - tired of sex radiohead - planet telex sex pistols - holiday in the sun kanye west - good morning nas - no introduction sunny day real estate - seven & friday
  6. Legit laughed out loud. almost at day 18, this has gone by quick. I really like the look of my instagram feed though. Good work Ian
  7. Radiohead - OK computer… great album, but I really didn't plan on buying anything… that leaving empty handed feeling got to me
  8. I'm going with Bone Thugs n Harmony - E 1999 Eternal others I really enjoy: Everything all of the time - band of horses Enta da stage - black moon
  9. Low quality, but if you've seen it, you know what it is. My mom used to tell me I wasn't able to watch the Simpson's, but she laughed at this scene. Then it became OK.
  10. Hilariously true. Day 14 (today for me) is "record from a used bin" - brace yourself for more Thriller. Tons of pretty splatter records for day 13.
  11. Posted my splattered record. I used At the Drive-In - In/casino/out - my only splatter record, but i love it. Can't wait to see what people are posting for day 13.
  12. i sadly had to post an incomplete collection of radiohead…. only band i had more than 3 albums of, but at least i'm almost there. i only got into collecting in april/may so i don't have the repertoire of records YET. Also, this is an awesome day for browsing the hashtag!
  13. I'm gonna say Kanye College Dropout. Very tempted to say Nelly - Country Grammar though
  14. Yup. I love the feel of it, so much lighter than my les paul (obviously)& the neck feels great, overall very impressed the purchase.
  15. Got the Fender Mustang today, can't wait to play it tomorrow at the jam space with more than my practice amp
  16. Just got an email from SRC, the release has been postponed tip March 4th now.
  17. 3 months seems like a good distance, maybe 4. Also a few of the categories can probably change a little each time. There are some awesome ones and some that are much less accessible to some people. Let's just hope that some other site or forum doesn't bite this too hard for future months.
  18. I agree with "thoughtsky," Sunny Day Real Estate was a great band in my opinion. I have some similar interests as you do, but that really doesn't mean much. Give the Diary album a preview as mentioned. I also really enjoy Built to Spill. Some of their records aren't too hard to come across. My favourite albums from Built to Spill are "Keep it like a Secret" and "There's Nothing Wrong with Love." Give those a shot as well, although you'll most likely have trouble finding "There's nothing wrong with love" on vinyl for cheap. As for your hip-hop, check: Pete Rock & CL Smooth - The Main Ingredient, Blu & Exile - Below the Heavens, Fugees - The Score, Jeru tha Damaja, Percee P should be good for now, there's a lot of ground to cover here. Edit: Totally forgot about your "post-rock" comment… check out the band Mogwai if you haven't yet.
  19. I think I've seen more Tears for Fears' "songs from the bog chair" than anything else for today's (tomorrow if you have a late time zone) submission. It would be sweet to break 10,000 IG posts before day 8 is done.
  20. People are talking about catching up, I just found an account that has all 31 days posted haha the account is "unholyxpassion" keep up the fine work folks
