I guess that's why I like it so much. It's just one of those albums that sticks out to me. I like how there is a common theme throughout the entire album. It just feels a lot more personal than "Somewhere..." did. But I get what you're saying though man.

Even though I do suspect that I will love this album. I agree with this. I'm not saying this in a 'ripping it to shreds' fashion, but I will give an example: La Dispute in "Wildlife" as compared to the previous recordings. They matured SO MUCH as a band, and their music showed it. Also, they did it without departing from the original sound that made them La Dispute. It's my opinion, and I can live without seeing it. But I like to see a band progressing and exploring their musical options instead of just playing it safe and doing what they have always done. It's good to have consistency though. That's one plus. But still.. This is just my opinion though.

Yeah definitely I have a few cousins that are still going to school even though they should be finished with it by now. I just think that some people get too comfortable in school and that discourages them from the real world. If that makes any sense.

It just sounds like something that could've been a "parting the sea.." b-side. This song doesn't sound like they have grown or matured as a band since the last album. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, because I loved the previous album.

I want to teach outside of the U.S. So pretty much I'm just trying to get my MA asap so I can get that started.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. The only area that I'm really concerned about is my writing.

Don't get me wrong.. I like it. But I hope the rest of the album is better than this. I didn't really sense that "progression" from them that I was hoping for.

I have to start looking for a Grad School, because this is my last year in Under Grad. I'm really nervous about it... mainly because I don't feel like I'm Grad School material.

I finally got my email about this being shipped. I think that it'll be here tomorrow. I can't wait!

I would be furious. My mailman recently tried to do something like this... luckily I was home, ran out the door at him, and just took it from him. I really don't trust him that much after that.

For the past couple of years NC has asked me to pull Jury duty, and I've been able to get out of it because of college. So who knows? You may be able to get out of it pretty easily. ("may be" being the key phrase).

Awesome bro! Hopefully I'll be getting mine here in a few days. Yeah man this release is boss. And that's why I got the swamp green. I was too late for it by the time I had the money to pre order. I was pretty bummed at first, but after sitting with it for a while I think the Swamp green looks the best IMO.

Anyone know where I can get Bad Brains "Black Dots" vinyl for relatively cheap? I've searched on Discogs, but there are none selling in the US.

Just got these the other day for fairly cheap. William Bonney - "Good Vibes" William Bonney - 7" split Iggy and the Stooges - "Raw Power" I'm extremely happy about the Stooges album. One of my favorite LPs of all time. It's a gatefold. The first 12" is the original mix by David Bowie from 1973, and the second 12" is the mix by Iggy from 1997.

I mean I would say at this point their communication isn't the greatest. I mean I understand that things can come up delaying the process, but at least give some form of updates to keep those of us who gave you money in the loop. It may just be me though.

Has anyone else pre-ordered this record. Mine hasn't shipped yet. I sent an email asking about my order a few days ago. No word yet. I'm just wondering if it usually takes this long when dealing with a vinyl PO. I'm not getting impatient, I'm just not sure what to expect.
