  1. yeah it was up and gone in like 10 minutes yesterday around 1pm i think? saw the aftermath only haha. that's the German convention for (book) spines. unfortunate practice.
  2. the more i think about it, the more i believe it has to be one and the same. Deep Elm licenses in multiples of 500 usually. Coke bottle /250 is TSR webstore exclusive, so 100 copies out of the non-exclusive dark green /250 would have to go to the band to keep that figure neat (wouldn't take its lack of mention in the FB post to mean there's a whole new variant just for the band again, detail about marbling or wisps or w/e is a kind of nerdy i don't see with Chris haha). same 1/5 band allotment as the first TSR run. curious to see what product photos, if any, accompany the stock drop tomorrow on their bandcamp.
  3. imagine that's the same dark green that Thirtysomething has up right now, no?
  4. another "limited run" coming from the band itself (another band-exclusive perhaps?) in the coming days ~~
  5. honestly, they both look pretty dope. hope the band variant starts shipping out soon, quite eager to see it
  6. was making beach fossils reference haha but i think the difference here is that you're looking at it from the perspective of a hypothetical buyer (and, having been around here a while and observed the most fervent of collectors in action, i would say it's probably a sort of synthesis of happiness and misery that hopefully is more happiness than not). but the accusation of milking (whether fair or not) is interested in the perspective of the seller and their motivations, decisions etc.
  7. personally agnostic as to whether it's "milking" in this particular instance but this defense you're offering is like a perfect capture of the process of milking. collectors already had every edition of the record before this was pressed. now there's another edition that they're compelled to go out and buy.
  8. much prefer the previous color repress, especially since they've modified the cover art with that border. great band and a great discography, cant believe it's been 10 years either... damn
  9. felt that way too until Young in My Head. that album really got me. intrigued to see if he keeps up the momentum on this new one.
  10. the original run for this album was /500 on white, maybe that's where? imagine the color is something new this go-around but who knows. anyway just scoured Numero socials for info re: color but they are not responding to anyone asking about color (and there are a lot of em haha), i think they might be having a bit of fun with us
  11. what can i say, Velvet Blue knows exactly who the SF59 demographic is and leaned into it hardddd. very well-played.
  12. 100% with u! seems like it's in the works, as well as Alas possibly. that's the one i want most of all to see happen.
  13. French label Tailtres is putting out the first-ever vinyl edition of this 2001 album from Idaho. Somewhat bigger run (ltd /1000) than their recent pressing of Heart of Palm. Preorder here (no US distro so far): https://bit.ly/IDLevitateLP
  14. ltd to 300 on 180g red vinyl, PO through Diggers Factory. super underrated band somewhere between The Appleseed Cast and Daysleepers. https://www.diggersfactory.com/vinyl/227678/film-school-film-school
  15. was $42 shipped for me from the US store, not the worst disparity for "importing" believe you're right, as the band stated on an FB comment that they were only licensed to press 1k total. so probably put 400 of the/500 up on the US store and the other 100 on the EU one.
  16. yeah but went to spam for me on Gmail, check there maybe
  17. given the band has to recoup licensing fees, i'm not too sore about the price. was an easy decision especially considering what OG copies seem to go for...
  18. grabbed a "marble" (think it'll look the coolest but who knows with hyperrealistic mockups these days haha)
  19. My own introduction to Baths back in 2011 was Pop Music / False B-Sides, and it's finally out on vinyl, along with a second entry in the series (it's a series now apparently and that's kinda cool), collecting various tracks from the better part of the last decade. You can hear two of them here on Bandcamp. Released by Baths' proprietary label, Basement's Basement. Shipping to meet a 5/29/20 release date via Baths' page on The Hyv. Press release here. ((Vol 1 ltd to 380, Vol 2 ltd to 400))
  20. got lucky to track an affordable OG pressing down a few months ago, glad to see this is getting a reissue finally (feels weird to move away from the iconic OG art tho...). LLO next??
  21. you can still get it from HHV, which, if you're in the States like i am, is the cheapest way to import that i'm aware of.
