  1. deadly, so excited for this wish Fay had made the album tho also hoping a tape option pops up too
  2. gotta love getting this shipped in an oversized amazon box. thankfully only one major ding to the sleeve. a bit weird this isn't a gatefold (i guess i didn't read carefully and assumed it would be?), but i don't really mind too much.
  3. by that token, Hard to Find foreshadows how it was going to be Hard to Find the strength to make another good record
  4. noted haha for my part, I spend a lotttt less time with EPs than with LPs. Also with rarities/collections (hence no Lost Songs). So it doesn't really feel like a fair fight to put em on a list of full-lengths for me. that said, i do have a signed Middle States CD somewhere, definitely a solid entry in their catalogue.
  5. Mare Vitalis Ring Wars Peregrine LLOs Sagarmatha Illumination Ritual Two Convos early sound is golden to me, but I think this new record will play realllly high. stoked.
  6. Not rly stoked about the "Arigato" packaging, have a few of these and they're an extra hassle to pack/unpack and protect 😕 Might just wait for the next pressing, which sounds like it'll be in a standard jacket. But I also cannot WAIT to hear this record, the single is thicc
  7. ooh glad we are doing this cuz i've wanted to see what other longtime fans are thinkin' mine (LPs only) Boxer Alligator Trouble Sad Songs HV S/T I am Easy SWB
  8. i have to say, i really enjoy the production a lot (in particular the sort of fractal/glitch impulse in the drumming and synth programming). feels like a really nice contemporary take on the sort of Feel Good Lost-era Broken Social Scene sound. honestly would've really loved this as an instrumental album i bet haha, the cliche-heavy lyrical content & choral arrangements kinda make me take a step back. i guess that's more about the production and less about a producer as a sort of editor figure, which is what i think you're more talking about – and in that sense i totallllly agree.
  9. kinda tend to agree, with the added disappointment that the lyricism seems a lot more first-draft-wordsalad, a lot less refined than previous efforts. i also find myself more likely to cringe at certain lyrics than to chuckle, seems Matt's really traded in the clever non-sequitur narrative style for a much more straightforward, even cliched one.
  10. there is indeed a separate "translucent gold" press. but the opaque yellow, somewhat misleadingly called "orange" on discogs, is from 2016. i ordered one late last year from Solid State, soon after which the product page was taken down (sold out?). it was put back up a few weeks ago without any fanfare, so i'm assuming it's also a case of leftovers.
  11. also some on red https://merchnow.com/products/v2/286916/o-god-the-aftermath-red both these colors have been available before; are we sure it's a new pressing??
  12. you can do this (and it haven't noticed any issues at all here) if you have added the music to your library before scrobbling. you don't need to download files, just put the album in your library. plays will show up when you scan with the iOS scrobbler app.
  13. whether it's integrated well in Spotify (which some ppl don't use, there being a world outside Spotify as well) or not is moot here; the scrobbler doesn't play ball with Mac OS for lots of ppl. there's certainly no meaningful support for it.
  14. lastfm is dead as hell, and the scrobbler still isn't working with Mac OS but i sometimes scrobble thru my phone
  15. merchnow are generally known for sucking shit in the customer service dept, not surprising they'd pull something like that. sorry dawg. i'm hoping for another run of copies, figure it's fairly likely...
  16. yeah that's not how posting on this forum is meant to work, maybe that's why ppl aren't thrilled?
  17. it's a comment on the upcoming release, though. xfactor is saying they found the released single(s) aesthetically lacking. tbh pretty common to see takes on the music for PO on these boards, maybe you should browse around here more before patronizing someone who's been a member exponentially longer. at any rate, xfactor is keeping things more on topic than either your attempt to make this a "defend a band against any criticism" thread or Kyte's to make it a "really shocking someone with Hungary as their location isn't a native English speaker" thread.
  18. saw one of these today at Princeton Record Exchange, was mighty tempted but honestly never cared for more than a couple of the songs on the record so i let it be. just in case anyone's looking for this in the wild
  19. if i had to guess, i'd say /100 does mean /100, and they split stock between US, UK, and bandcamp stores. But that the UK store has a significantly lower allocation than the other two.
  20. vinyl / tape / merch preorders here: http://www.runforcoverrecords.com/products/640992-horse-jumper-of-love-so-divine new single "Poison" here: don't sleep on this incredible band.
