  2. Without seeing the turntable, my uncle's suggestion is to make sure the cartridge wires aren't rubbing on the record
  3. I shot my uncle an e-mail, I'll post as soon as I hear back. Should be by tomorrow. Also, I have 9 outstanding VC orders. It's a sickness
  4. You have 45 days to open a dispute. From there, you have 20 days to file a claim
  5. In on the Killtaker and Repeater are the other two essentials you must own as soon as possible
  6. The one with the yellow cover? If so, I still see that one all the time, shouldn't be hard to track down
  7. HEY HE ASKED ME ASSHOLE -1 -1 -1 Just kidding. And like Mr. Wahoo said, they didn't have it. But we did have an impromptu VC meet-up at the show between chiefwahoo, amsterdamned, kirbypuckett and myself -- it was awesome! I wasn't going to spill the beans but Scott bought all of the copies of the new single with his AP money and loaded them into his car while mumbling some shit about eBay. Outside of that it was very cool to meet not one, but three people from this board!
  8. My uncle has repaired home audio equipment his whole life. Since there's a couple of you with the same problem, I'll ask him. He should have some ideas. I worked for him for many years and I've had tons of turntables over the years and have never heard of this problem. I still don't see how it can be anything besides a motor/platter issue. I'll report back
  9. I'm all for suggestions. There's both red and black concentrated on the right side of the print, unfortunately, but far more black. Part of me thinks that might be all the more reason to go with a black mat. Let the black kind of run together on the right side to make the red stand out even more. But if this print does leave the kitchen at some point, which could happen down the road, I may not want a red frame in the next room it's in. Even though it would work well in all the rooms as of now. I like your suggestion of the darker red frame/mat. The kitchen is cherry wood or whatever the hell it's called so the darker red would work with that and make the print stand out. Good call.
  10. I'd think the sound could still be picked up by the needle. Especially if it's every record and every rotation. Maybe try it without the record and listen closely to the rotating platter itself to see if there's even a slight noise that's getting picked up and transmitted?
  11. I'd probably go with a reddish mat and a black frame or vice versa. I don't think there's any chance I'll keep the Converge name showing. Hopefully that's not too blasphemous. I would've ordered the print without the name if it was available, so there's no real difference, I suppose
  12. Doesn't seem like it would be the needle. Does it do it when the platter is rotating without a record on it?
  13. I ordered this print because of how ridiculously well it matches my kitchen. I knew my girlfriend would be displeased with the artwork itself and the fact that the kitchen is the one place she asked me not to hang any of my prints. (It should be noted she does not live with me.) I may or may not put it in the kitchen but I've told her that I am just because it's fun to annoy her. Anyways, I had a party at my house and for her birthday and she thought it'd be a great idea to poll all of her girlfriends about my hideous poster for support. I was prepared for the smackdown but three out of four of them all agreed that it would look great in the kitchen. VICTORY!! I was going to do what I wanted anyways but now it's like I have permission. Hehehe.... Would it be bad if I had it framed and chopped off the Converge wording? I want it for art purposes, not so everyone that comes over thinks Converge is my favorite band because they aren't even close. The framed print would replace the candle holder on the wall
  14. Interesting. I checked Sympathy for the Record Industry's site and it doesn't look very well maintained (wasn't he trying to sell it?) and it specifically says pretty much all LPs are pressed once and then done. Maybe this is an exception. Or maybe they just found some more.
  15. Fugazi. It was my best friend's favorite band and he always talked about how amazing their shows were. I was going to tag along to the Kent State University show they were doing since I was slowly starting to get into them at the time. But he'd seen them a ton of times and it wasn't convenient timing so he didn't go. At least I have it on VHS somewhere I guess I should clarify that I didn't miss out on them considering they were still putting out albums. I just don't think they ever toured near me again
  16. Self-titled on orange. Long out of print, I believe. I just ordered and it's not in stock yet, but it's worth a shot anyways https://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?Item=151586&
  17. I have the three albums on Fat. On the other two Fat albums, there is a much bigger distinction between the bassist's songs and the guitarist's songs. I hate the guitarist's songs on those albums. Oh Calcutta is easily my favorite because the whole album sounds like the bass player's songs to me. Fast and punkish. The guitarist's songs are bland and boring to me. But I am a casual fan. People go apeshit for this band and they love all the songs. Just my opinion
  18. Looking to get rid of it? I forgot I needed that record
  19. The upcoming Against Me show at the Cleveland House of Blues is on my birthday, so I'll probably go to that. Especially if i can snag a White People 12"
  20. Doesn't look like it. I bought mine on eBay and I assume it was from the person who created them because they'd list one, it would sell, and then another would pop up immediately from them. That went on for awhile until they ran out. I resisted buying one for a few weeks because I'd just bought a house and couldn't afford it. I finally caved in and I'm glad I did. I checked the site of the artist and they don't have any, either
