  1. New song Amarnthine is great, ended up biting the bullet and dropping $36 and some change for the deluxe LP.
  2. This is a download for a very recent 20th anniversary reissue of a very seminal record by a very popular rock band who I will not name in hopes of avoiding lurkers. I know everybody's probably already got this album but maybe someone will appreciate the 11 bonus tracks. XHCR7PVL
  3. Wow that's some BS. Thanks for the heads up, though... Guess I'll bite the bullet. Unfortunately, yeah, the Amazon listing is for the standard version rather than the deluxe packaging.
  4. So I went to order from Absolute Merch and the only available shipping option was Priority for $9.65. Is this SOP for Absolute Merch, or should I contact them? If it included a shirt I would understand, but almost $10 shipping for just a record is absurd when it could ship media mail for less than $4.
  5. For anyone not on the color hunt, Amazon's price went down to $31.57 (from $35).
  6. Just ordered from Amazon, downloading the MP3s right now. Really excited to hear the remaster and the b-sides, but mostly just stoked to finally have this album on vinyl, can't believe I waited this long.
  7. Extremely excited about this. I have the original pressing of this (found it in a local store in 2012 for $8, just about pissed myself) but the sound quality is fair at best and unlistenable at worst. I think this is already a terrific sounding album, so a general remaster doesn't excite me, but I'm assuming the important part is that it's actually mastered for vinyl this time. I'd really enjoy having the DVD (bummed it's not Blu-ray but I guess back then they were still shooting SD), but there's no way I'm paying an extra $15 for it. Skipping the colored edition because my Interpol collection is exclusively black vinyl and I've always thought this album with its labels looked rather handsome on black. That being said, I do wish they had done something new with the packaging. I realize most people don't have the OP, so they're giving everyone a new chance to own it as it was originally intended, but I do agree that a box set would have been very attractive. They could've done the standard gatefold option and then a box set option with the DVD and made out like bandits.
  8. I just want to say I picked this up along with my PO of the new record and I'm super impressed with the sound quality. Always suspicious of bands pressing old EPs from the early days since they were obviously never produced with vinyl in mind, but this one is for sure worth picking up.
  9. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't end up buying from CC but it did put me on the hunt for this and I ended up getting it at Jet for $25 with a coupon. Glad I ended up waiting for this!
  10. Glad this is finally coming to fruition! The new single is pretty tight, though admittedly I'd probably PO on Fractional alone. Also worth noting there's also a clear w/ red splatter pressing over at Absolute Merch. I really dig the packaging and cards.
  11. Damn, was really hoping to be able to get the photo book LP outside of the $80 bundle. Good to know, though. Props to Andy for the clarification, what a dude. Edit: Bit the bullet and picked up the smoke variant, Brainstorm, and the Braves shirt I've been eyeing for years. Shipping was only $6 for me, but I'm also very close to ATL where I assume they ship from.
  12. I dig the song, it's not blowing my mind but it's solid MO and every one of their albums has grown to have a place in my heart, so I have no qualms ordering this on a oner. I will, however, hold off until we get more info on the pressings. Super intrigued by the photo book, but I'm gonna need to see more and find out if there's any way to get it without the shirt and music box, which I can definitely live without. I do like the smoke variant, though, and I've been meaning to pick up Brainstorm from their store, so I may just do that. But I also don't particularly want to throw down $29 + shipping if this is the retail variant and it's going to pop up for cheaper elsewhere. Edit: Okay so after looking into things, I'm thinking the $36 Amazon pre-order may be the photo book version. On the merch store, there's a $35 difference between the shirt/music box bundle with the photo book LP and with the CD. There's also now a standard vinyl Amazon PO for $25.
  13. ^ Already have that TWDY record, can confirm it is tremendous. Do yourself a favor and listen if you're even halfway interested in instrumental post-rock. That live version of Three Legged Workhorse is one of my all-time favorite songs.
  14. Guys, I'm pretty sure it's still going to happen. A pressing doesn't really have anything to do with the band. I'm sure Broken Circles is just dealing with Universal's dragging feet as always.
  15. Honestly I'd rather this stay in print. This is a good release, I'd like people to be able to own it.
  16. lolol. Mine definitely has more color than that but I was admittedly a little disappointed that there wasn't more.
  17. Got mine in today. A/B side labels are swapped, curious to see if it's just mine or if it's the pressing.
  18. I'm actually really glad I didn't grab this 2 years ago, this looks so much better all around. Love this alternate artwork. Gonna bite the bullet and hop on this right away.
  19. Awesome, thank you. Haven't gotten to pick this up on vinyl yet, will use this to tide me over and will definitely pay it forward once I get my copy.
  20. Mine has a slight warp as to be expected but it doesn't affect playback. No seam splits, so issues with leadouts or B-side playback. I'd highly recommend it.
  21. Is it just me or is this pressing super loud? Sounds awesome, though.
