  1. The BIN was me, I made an offer and honestly meant to type in 39.99 and clumsily hit enter. It was accepted immediately. That's a lot better than a couple 89.99 BIN's I saw.
  2. I love Chicago and go back whenever I find an excuse. My friend lives there now, so I might start taking megabus trips. Up until now, I have gone on short tours just to hang out in Chicago for a couple days.
  3. Dude! Tell me you are going (or went) snorkeling in a volcanic crater. Side note, I once peed in one. I have had a god complex every since.
  4. I used to think this was stupid, but lately people have been telling me it's totally worth it to do these things. Sometimes they have similar things for cruises. Should probably sign up for one of those.
  5. How do you check the completed listings? I think I just snagged a smokey clear "CIVILWAR" for a fairly decent price. I should have made my offer lower though. Shit?
  6. I will post an update when I know more, but I'm not releasing it. I fuckin' wish. Eyeball records will be releasing it and Tired Owl Records will be doing a very limited 10" version. like 250 copies.
  7. My label has been around for a couple years, but we did just update the distro. Just wanted to tell everyone to get the Blackout Pact's CD from somewhere, even if not me, because it shreds. Chicago skyline shots are usually impressive.
  8. I'm trying to grab some of these on Ebay right now, the older colors of course.
  9. woah, confuses me a bit after rereading. Too much work. Paraphrase: I should have bought it went I had the chance. More than likely better off with you as I would have sold it without thinking about it if the price was right because color variants don't mean much to me. Enjoy that thang.
  10. You got lucky. My mouse was on the buy button. For some reason, I decided to sleep on it. It's probably better off in your collection. I now have my eye on a few other releases. I'm not much for flippin records, but if I think I'm gonna bank on a record just because someone else wants to spend much more on it, I'll give it a chance. It seems to be looked down upon, but record labels do it all the time with test pressings and rare variants that they end up with, or if something is picked up by a bigger label they often sell the last of their records at a mark up. I don't feel any kind of a connection with color variants. I guess what I'm trying to say is that someone who actually loves the record for what it is should own it. Or maybe you are going to sell it, in which case, the best of luck to you.
  11. I said fuck it to all the legalities of this business from the get go. Hopefully I will never have to get a license or any thing like that.
  12. Love Garden is great. There is some huge record store in Westport (KC). I just can't remember what it's called. thousands and thousands of records there.
  13. Yeah, I already got blue. I wanted to get a red one and hold onto it, maybe give to a friend for an awesome present, put it on the wall, or if I'm in a tight spot, I could sell it...not for $90 though.
  14. Soooo, I guess I should have purchased this last night when it was reposted for $124, right? I was looking right at it. Shit!
  15. And to think, I was about to spend more than $20 on a copy of this, only to get rejected by some douche that wants like $90 for it. This is a good morning so far. I'm also considering getting "That Much Further West" and some Dillinger Four color variations.
  16. aardvarkmastering.com has a few times listed for the different speeds and they sound quality it would produce.
  17. I just made a $20 offer on a copy. Didn't even go through. I'm happy with my blue copy though.
  18. I guess I see what you are saying, but in the event that a distro has thousands of records for sale, post office trips are usually planned 1-3 times a week, even for bigger record labels. It is not highly efficient to have to go to the post office every day. You have to sift through orders, inventory, pack them, sometimes go buy more packing material. If someone ships a package out within ten days, you are still getting it within two weeks. Is that really that bad? I mean, seriously? You can't wait an order out? Not many people have a person on staff sitting around that has the soul purpose of shipping a record when the order comes in. It's been a long time since I have ordered from anyone and gotten it in under a week.
  19. d' you mean your ex-new lexicon looks difference than the ordinary friend press ? It's the clear green record. About a square inch section of the edge has a bit of blue in it. Nothing much, but it looks like I almost had a variant from in between the two colors.
  20. My copy of New Lexicon on clear green has a slight splash of blue on part of the edge. I will sell it for $564.23.
  21. Are they just notebooks with a piece of vinyl taped over the cover? Is the back also vinyl? They sound great, but is this just something I Could do at home?
  22. Maybe the opening of the sleeve is at the top.
  23. They have a "how to sell your stuff at very" link. http://verydistro.com/blog.aspx#162 I gotta couple short replies about their mark up. My only contact with them so far though.
