  1. I was just looking for something classy, but affordable. I know of a couple places that carry things that would hold them well, but they weren't made to hold records exactly, so that's why I wanted to hear what other people used. It's not a huge deal but I also like to keep my records in good condition for my portfolio as I'm a graphic designer/illustrator as well as a vinyl collector.
  2. Sorry if this is already a thread, if it is just *kindly* redirect me to it haha. Anyway, I want a little case to hold my 7" records in. Not like a bookshelf style how most people store their 12" records, but something where it'd display the front of the artwork and you flip through them. (Sort of like a record store) I've seen some cool ones at record stores in the past but didn't know if anyone had a specific brand or knew of a site that had good ones? I haven't really looked, I figured I'd ask fellow vinyl collectors before buying something random online. Any help is appreciated!

    Added TWIABP first press.
  4. Not sure the point about Urban Outfitters and Hot Topic, two totally different stores with different distribution/options haha. Especially because Hot Topic puts out some really good releases in my opinion, but I wouldn't necessarily buy a band shirt from them or even visit the store. Also, they carry new releases from labels like No Sleep Records and Paper + Plastick which is awesome. Stuff that I'm into now, not stuff I was into as a kid. However, to comment on the nostalgic music thing, I can kind of relate to buying some albums I really enjoyed in middle/high school. Like Something Corporate and The Starting Line. The majority of the bands I was in favor for back then sound like shit to me now that I've matured, but some of those records have become classics to me. Like Brand New - Deja Entendu. Anyway, the point I'm getting at is I buy some of the albums I grew up listening to for not only nostalgic reasons (that's almost enough) but because the albums are actually good. I've revisited them as an adult and still enjoy them. I wouldn't buy every album by every band I liked just for nostalgic purposes though, the music has to sound good to me still.
  5. Fucking Mac Demarco Oh and Deafhaven. And a whole lot of others I've consistently heard about and tried to give a chance but got nothing from.
  6. Discogs says my collection is worth 8.5k and I've been collecting for only 3 years But yeah, I'd say you're trying to sell these in the wrong place like the previous user said. We probably wouldn't understand the music. However, I could be wrong.

  13. Why aren't all of these sold yet? haha. I want to buy a shit ton of them every time I see the thread.
  14. Rad dude, I bought a record. Bump for the hook up!
  15. This is really cool, just read it for the first time. I will try to participate in one (or some) of the next ones to come! I honestly think it'd be fun to be to be the one who gives a record away haha.
  16. Damn, all of those Time Is A Machine variants. Very nice
  17. Haha I was thinking the same thing. Especially because all of their colors (that I've seen, at least) are default color options at pressing plants, nothing special or unique. Colors I like to call "basic" - Like Volcano Choir - Repave was on "basic blue" haha. This modest mouse looks like basic green. Sufjan's reissue too. I would rather stick with my heavier black vinyl then an ugly green (personal preference) that doesn't match the artwork. If the colors were unique and matched the artwork, it'd be cooler to me.
