  1. Pretty sure there was a press release at some point that was along the lines of "If you like Modern Baseball, we're got Sorority Noise for you!" I don't remember where/when but I assume it was in my email. I think the comparisons are due to the bitter, overly simple, high school angsty lyrics. That isn't a knock on either band - I enjoy both. Just saying the comparison is probably more due to lyrical content than overall sound.
  2. I'm surprised why no one asked about the shortening back to 3 days this year in the Punknews live chat. I liked it being 4 days. Way less conflicts, more time to check out random bands, time to relax between things I wanted to see. How did everyone else feel about it?
  3. Thanks, I shot them an email and they responded within an hour saying it would ship today. Just received email confirm with the shipping number. Maybe it was just an oversight or something. No harm, no foul. I'd care less if I had a digital download. I'm trying to learn these songs before Fest!
  4. Unless I'm mistaken, I think it was on Equal Vision? NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The long awaited vinyl reissue of the landmark second studio album from Coheed andCambria, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, will be released by Equal Vision Records/Columbia Records/Legacy Recordingson October 21st. PRESS HERE to read lead singer/songwriter Claudio Sanchez's first interview about the re-released LP withBillboard.com, plus listen to the newly remastered version of single "A Favor House Atlantic."
  5. My guess is very similar to the Coheed In Keeping Secrets... Similar in that they have a tour press, a pre-order colored press, and a standard black for retail.
  6. Banquets - Self Titled Fest pressing limited to /50 with "mint green" vinyl.
  7. So I pre-ordered this by itself and still haven't received. Anyone else in the same boat or should I do some emailing?
  8. You're welcome! Biggest thing is communication. That story about the concert/festival is something I can relate to. I feel so much worse knowing about something after the fact. If he's a good dude, he's going to be able to balance the enjoyment of the festival with your struggle/physical limitations. If you keep him in the loop you'll both be less frustrated!
  9. As a guy (who has viewed this thread at my own risk) and someone who has been in a similar situation, I can confirm this and add that it really is a manifestation of wanting to take care of you/protect you and feeling unable to. Also those qualities are generally an indication of his feelings for you and the value he places on your relationship. It's a complex situation and I really hope that everything goes well (futurekills).
  10. Lines for shows hasn't been a significant issue other than Fest 10 from my understanding... The line for your wristband, however, is a complete fucking joke and will continue to be until they come up with a better system than just walking up to a table of 10 people without any form of organization.
  11. Actually, was just listening to State Lines (now oso oso) and they're a good comp band if you're into more of that 90s indie sound that's impossible to describe.
  12. Sundials live sets sound so freaking good. Every venue type I've seen them, they've had clear sound/a great mix. Definitely make that a priority
  13. Haha yeah I understand, I just like giving people something to go off when I recommend. Like oh, you like ____ then you'd like ____ and I have a hard time with grouping them. I normally just say if you were alive during the 90s then you'd probably dig Sundials.
  14. I'll be honest (and this is coming from someone who really really likes Sundials), I don't really see the Alk3 connection here. I have a hard time describing Sundials to others for that reason. Fuzzy guitars? Indie? IT'S JUST GOOD GO LISTEN!
  15. Damn, that was my breaking point. I hung with them through what I considered a bunch of disappointments. Daybreak was my first unlistenable record by them.
  16. Post SWYA -- Sound The Alarm > In Reverie >>> Under The Boards > Self Titled "Grapefruit" > Daybreak The only one I'll throw on occasionally from the above is Sound The Alarm.
  17. Hey does anyone have any info on the band, Gifthorse? -- possibly a Facebook or bandcamp? I see a Facebook for "Gift Horse" from Athens, Georgia but that seems really inactive. Anything would help. Thanks!
  18. Yeah I haven't seen a shipping confirm yet and I ordered a while ago. Do they do shipping confirms?
  19. Wait is this for real? So if you're buying something and the seller lists related bands in the title, you can claim that it wasn't as described?
  20. So Amazon doesn't charge until it ships, right? So I could in theory, order here and then somewhere else if they release a different variant through somewhere else and not get stuck with two?
  21. This is up to be ordered! Yay freshman year of high school!
  22. That was a great show. Tim and Brendan were on point and the 'zingers sounded great! You should celebrate 10 year anniversaries more often.
