  1. where have people been ordering this from? the only site i found it on was selling it for like $40.
  2. this is awesome. i already have all their older albums on vinyl. but they're in rough shape because i bought them when they first came out. i just wish it wasn't so damn expensive. or at least offer up a package deal if you buy them all.
  3. with the eminent housing crash (we haven't seen the worst of it yet) in a few months you're gonna probably have a chance to buy something nice for cheap. i'm in canada. i don't think we're on the same housing trend as you guys in the states. housing around here (the GTA) has actually been in a bit of a boom as of late and prices are going through the roof.
  4. not lame at all. me and my girlfriend are thinking about moving back in with my parents for a while so we can save up some money to buy a place rather than keep on renting.
  5. and how many of those will actually make their way onto vinyl. maybe 5%.
  6. i found that the force killed the game for me. it's too hard/random to control. which left me frustrated and annoyed.
  7. i really like lego star wars. but didn't like lego indiana jones at all. i just found the perspectives sucked ass.
  8. I think for the most part people need to listen to what he's saying, realize it tainted by his standpoint and make up their own minds. He usually makes great points worth paying attention to, people seem to get caught on the periphery though; its unfortunate. he's essentially a political satarist. and on the large part they go over the top to get their points across. which can be funny. i agree with most of what michael moore has to say. i just don't always agree with the way he says it. he exagerates facts to get his point across and sometimes he goes a little too far. he's done a few things that rubbed me the wrong way. like in F911 when he tried to get the members of congress to sign their kids up to serve in Iraq. in all honesty no one would actually want their kids to go serve in Iraq. i know the whole point of that was to show the whole poor people fighting the rich people's war. but parents not wanting to send their kids to war isn't a class issue. but on the other hand. i could never hate a man who created pistol pete. i think his best stuff was when he was doing awful truth.
  9. didn't he put up sicko on google videos for a week too? even though i'm not a fan of this guy anymore. it sends out a good message if he's offering up his movies for free.
  10. from the first episode i saw i always thought it heavily ripped off Broken Saints. not to mention all superhero/superpower themed shows/comics/movies ever. its fun to watch, though. nothing i saw in the premiere beats anything in season 1. that shit was amazing. will definitely keep watching. last night i had to stop watching for a couple of reasons. first when the "flash" girl used the term "speedster". when mohinder (sp?) started crawling up the wall and listed off his "abilities" which were essentially the same as spiderman. having him crawl up the wall like spiderman didn't help either. and the last thing was mohinder's quest to give superpowers to normal people. that ripped off countless comic storylines. but the one that's most fresh in my mind is the everyman project from 52.
  11. i can't watch this show. every idea it has has been ripped off of grant morrison.
  12. 1) Pabst Blue Ribbon 2) Tuborg Gold 3) Gin & Ginger
  13. opening weekend in toronto this season i got hot dogs and beer thrown at me for wearing a boston hat and my pedroia jersey. my girlfriend and i actually got a police escort out of the dome because so many jays fans were starting fights with red sox fans.
  14. it's just this sense i have. i just get this feeling that either LA or boston is going to eliminate them from the playoffs.
  15. + pay day + ordered some new records - broke as shit after having to pay rent/car insurance/car payment/student loan in one pay cheque
  16. then got swept. i hate to sound like a broken record. but tampa is going to hit a wall in the post season.
  17. she sang half of the songs though. i really liked the contrast of her voice and john's.
  18. that's true. maybe it's because i'm a sox fan. but i just can't see tampa doing well in the playoffs. they seem like this seasons rockies.
  19. another three. billy talent/rise against/anti flag/.moneen. apparently they decided it was a "family show" so they only had one bar open and you couldn't bring beer to your seats or on the floor. paid $100 for 2 tickets. we got there just in time to see .moneen. play a 20 minute set. waited in line at the bar for a good half hour just to get in. got in and anti-flag took the stage. you couldn't see/hear the bands in the bar. so we decided to skip on watching anti-flag so we could get in a couple $11 beers before rise against came on. got back on the floor just in time to see rise against play a mediocre set. then left before billy talent came on because neither of us liked them. rise against/boys night out/hostage life for starters it was in hamilton. anyone from southern ontario knows the problem right there. all in all it wasn't that bad of a show. but tim was really preechy that night. hating on the drinkers through out their set. not impressed. i understand you're straight edge. but making fun of your fans who got you where you are because they drink. really not cool. rise against/the fullblast/a million other local bands. it was one of the first shows i had been to at the docks. it wouldn't have been that bad. but you couldn't see the stage from where the drinking area was. they did put up screens. but i don't want to pay $40 to go to a club to watch the band i went to see on a screen.
  20. propagandhi/brutal knights/hostage life don't get me wrong. i like all of those bands. but i couldn't believe how many douchebags were in the crowd. going to see propagandhi in toronto is like going to a frat party these days. actually the last two times i've seen propagandhi have been two of the worst shows i've been to in ages. the time before that it was at a shit club that was way over sold. ended up waiting to get in for over an hour and this was a good two hours after doors had opened. missed GFK. got in the club waited in line at the bar for a half hour just to find out they had sold out of beer and only had vodka and rum left. and then throw in a crowd that was at least half frat boys/jocks. not a fun show at all.
  21. i still think tampa isn't going to do well in the post season. they're only in the postion they're in right now because boston's been hit with some fairly serious injuries this season and their pitching hasn't been getting the job done. last monday was a good example of what boston has the ability to do to you.
  22. if their pitching shows up to the playoffs. then yes they have a good chance of winning. personally i think tampa bay will shit the bed in the playoffs. young team with virtually no playoff experience.
  23. i'm too old to travel more than an hour or a show. guess i got spoiled from living in toronto for all those years.
  24. i just moved. and the local store by my new place is run bby the biggest typical comic store douchebag in history. he's pretty much the dude from the simpsons to a t. except for being fat he's disgustingly skinny with hulk hogan hair. so now once a month a drive to my old town to go to my old comic book shop where the dudes are super nice.
