  1. a friend recommended "Average American Male" by Chad Kultgen to me, i think it's going to be the next one i read.
  2. they say upfront that you're only allowed to do a certain number of surveys per month. they attract you to the site by giving you that $20 basically right away, and then once they have you as a member, i'm sure they only offer a couple surveys a month. i've been on that site for about 2 months now, and the first month i did i think 4 surveys. last month i did about 3, maybe 4. the new surveys for this month should be going up pretty soon. so yeah, it might take a while, but it does work, at least it did for my friend marshall. they also say on the site that if you just fill in bullshit answers, they won't count it as you actually doing that survey. and same thing with the referrals, if a bunch of referrals don't follow through, they'll just take the money back from your account from that referral. if you follow the instructions and do things the right way, you'll get paid. and yes, if you have them send it to your paypal account, they charge $25 (so you would only get 50 of the 75 you earned). but, if you have them send you a check, you get all your money. it just takes like 4 weeks to get it. i read all about the site because i was skeptical as fuck, but when my friend told me it worked for him, and i watched him do it a couple times and saw what it was about, i decided to try it. again, if you guys don't want to do it, that's fine. i just figured since so many people on the forum are talking about how they need money, that this would be an easy way for everybody to get some. thanks again to everybody who signed up for mine. -dan
  3. when you're on eBay, at the upper right hand corner of the screen there should be a "help" link. click on that and then type in "retract a bid" in the search box. follow the instructions (you'll need to give your reason for retracting the bid) and it will retract it. the seller does not need to agree, which sucks if you're the seller. i've been burned multiple times by people retracting bids. i think if you retract like 3 bids within a month or something, eBay suspends your account, but if it's just one it's no big deal apparently. good luck.
  4. i have donated plasma a few times, actually, but since i'm down at school right now, the people they have running the place i go to are also students who don't really know what they're doing and i've gotten pretty nicked up after going there in the past. something always seems to go wrong. when i'm back home that's not so much an issue, but i'm at school 8+ months a year (including now) so it's just hard...
  5. i personally have not reached $75 yet, but my buddy did a couple months ago, which is why i signed up. i didn't believe it was going to work either (like i'm sure most of you guys) so i waited for him to actually get paid. the way i think it works is that every month they give you like 4-5 surveys that are available, so slowly but surely you will get to the $75 level. and every month there is a "Bonus Survey" that is for $1 instead of the regular $4, but it also enters you into a $500 reward drawing. my account is currently sitting at like $35, so hopefully around christmas i'll be able to redeem my money. p.s. i signed up for you pureprofile thing to reciprocate
  6. ^^haha, that's exactly what i thought, mikey... like i said, i normally hate shit like this, but my friend linked me to his after he said he had been using it and it worked, so i gave it a shot.
  7. to the 2 people so far that have signed up, i appreciate it. if you PM me, i'll +1 you or something. hopefully it'll be the "or something"...
  8. yeah, i just realized... sorry, if it could be moved, i'd appreciate it. and i know i've only been on the forums for 2 weeks, but i placed my first order from vinyl collective for over a year and a half ago. if you don't want to go to the site, that's fine. i just figured it was worth a shot.
  9. okay, so i just want to preface this by saying i normally don't post shit like this because i never believe them and i just think they're weird to be honest. so i apologize in advance for posting this, but it is not spam, i've been a member of the V.C. community for a while now, you can trust me. that being said... i've been running low on money for a while now. i go to college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, and I've been buying shit on vinyl collective and eBay for about 2 years now, and basically every dollar I get goes to vinyl in some way. i know a lot of people on this forum have been saying the same kind of things ('i wish i had some extra money so i could buy this' etc.), so that's why i'm posting here. about a month ago, my friend referred me to this site where you take surveys online and each survey you take you get $4 credited to an account. once you hit the $75 mark, you can transfer that money into a paypal account (which i'm sure everybody here has). the surveys are REAL fucking easy, what you do is just go to 2 different websites that they provide the links for, look at them for a minute, then write 2-3 sentences about the site like "i like the graphics, but there's too much going on and they use too many different fonts" or shit like that. once you do that for both sites, you're done, and they credit your account with $4. it's as easy as that. anyway, if you refer friends and they create accounts from your specific link, your account is credited with $1.25 for every friend. i figured i would post my link here and maybe you guys could help me out. if not, no big deal, i just figured i'd give it a shot. but seriously, whether you guys use my link or not, you should check out the site because it literally takes less than 5 minutes to do a survey and they give you $4. it's ridiculous. now, if you would all be so kind... http://www.AWSurveys.com/HomeMain.cfm?RefID=danthemjfan23 thanks for reading, and i promise i'll never post shit like this again. i just figured everybody could use the free money. -dan
  10. it seems like way more "unreleased" and rare shit ends up on 7", so it's interesting to hear songs that you normally wouldn't hear. but i prefer full lengths.
  11. alkaline trio alkaline trio - goddamnit nothing else even comes close.
  12. i'm crazy like a fox.... that shit will work
  13. interesting... didn't even think of that. is the gremlin a foreigner?
  14. seriously guys we need to slow down... i can hold my liquor, but i can't keep up with this pace...
  15. this is what you do.... one day, when he's at work or out of the house or something, take half of everything he owns and put it all in your room or someplace he can't/won't find it right away. when he asks what the fuck happened, be like "yeah, it's fucking stupid to lose half of your shit for no reason, isn't it? well your short gremlin of a girlfriend is going to do the exact same thing within the next 2 years, except when you ask what the fuck happened, she's not going to give it all back to you. you need to dump this bitch." end scene.
  16. somebody requests n00dz (not that i'm complaining, or disagreeing... it would just get you DRUNK quickly)
  17. in "this could be love" by alkaline trio, there's a line that says i'm like a broken record i've got a needle scratching me
  18. last one I saw on the bay went for less than $10... that was meeeeee. i already had one, but when i saw how cheap that one was, i had to bid. that's the first record alkaline trio ever appeared on. pretty cool piece in my opinion.
  19. apparently you did not cheer hard enough for the White Sox. fuck.
  20. the problem with these shitty situations is now you have to decide whether or not you want to pay to ship it back to him, so basically you'd be paying $5 for no record. i usually just ask them for a full refund of the product price, and tell them they can keep the cost of shipping since they did have to pay for it. most sellers are so afraid of negative feedback that they'll agree, and you get to keep your record (albeit a warped one) for just the cost of shipping. it's worth a shot.
  21. fidel castro is a real sollid choice. i think he'll be out before 2008 is over. george steinbrenner of the yankees is in REAL bad shape, too. i wouldn't be surprised (but i would be pretty sad) to see him go soon. as for a younger guy, my shot in the dark would be artie lang. from the stories i hear about the things he does to his body (even the stories HE tells), there's no reason he should still be alive right now. and dante3000, you're terrible. haha.
