Hi all, I recently purchased a Rega turntable. It has a pretty nice cartridge on it. I want to clean the stylus every so often. I was wondering if you all could provide some information on some effective, and relatively inexpensive stylus cleaners? I know almost nothing on this particular topic. Thanks.

Great album. I'd say try discogs, but the black LPs are going for $60 now. I paid $15. Some online store must have a copy still. Amazon and Best Buy don't. Maybe Insound, B&N, etc?

Hey VC, I have a question for you all. I am looking for a storage solution for the 25 or so 7 inch singles I own. I like the vintage 45 cases with handles I see on Ebay. They are either tin or fake leather etc. I was wondering if those cases are wide enough to fit the whole cardboard sleeve? Mostly I see images of just the bare vinyl in those boxes, maybe separated by some filling cards. Not good for preserving the vinyl in good condition! Anyways I am looking for a stylish box for 7 inchers. Max capacity say, 50 singles. Any advice or links would be appreciated.

I recently bought SDRE's repress of LP2 on Subpop. The shrink had a sticker that said it was the limited edition colored vinyl (pink marble). When I opened up the jacket both discs were black vinyl. Anybody have this happen to them when purchasing limited presses? I contacted Subpop, so I am curious what they are going to say about it (even though I did not purchase it directly from them).

Hi, I upgraded to a Rega, and my previous table is sitting in my closet unused. I am looking to sell it or maybe trade for LPs. Anyways, about the table: It is a Technics SL-QD 33 fully automatic, direct drive turntable with quartz lock. It is in excellent condition and fully functional. It has a Grado Black p-mount cartridge mounted on it. The Grado has about 100 hours on it, so it is still fairly new. It comes with a dust cover, grounding wire, and a red wool slipmat. No original box or manual, sorry. I am looking for $125 cash for the table and cartridge, and $25 for shipping. Paypal only. If there is interest, I will post photos. Again, the table is in excellent condition, and would serve as an excellent starter table for those entering the vinyl game. Please ask questions, either here or via PM. I am new to VC, but have positive feedback on Ebay and Head-fi (if interested).

Just received mine from the UK in about 2 weeks to rural Montana. Box is flawless, inner sleeves all have some seam splits. Vinyl looks almost flawless with a faint nick in Chocky, which I hope isn't audible. Nice looking box. Can't wait to hear Iggy on vinyl.

Another delay from Amazon US and Amazon Canada now says Oct. 14th. I just ordered it from the UK for $77 shipped. I can't wait any longer.

Anyone order from Amazon US?. I have an estimated delivery for this Tuesday and it hasn't shipped yet. Monday is a holiday, so unless they overnight it, I don't imagine it will be here on release day, as promised. I know there was talk of this selling out as well.

Does anyone else think Captured Tracks vinyl pressings are kind of lousy? I have received several warped LPs from them. Even my Nocturne special edition was badly warped. The Mac Salad Days has been the best quality so far forever.

Hello, I have two titles up for trade... 1. Arcade Fire - Funeral (180g black vinyl). Opened and played once. Side B has a small imperfection on one track and pops slightly. This is how I received the album when I ordered it online. Got it through Popmarket. The album/jacket is otherwise flawless, may still even have the cellophane on it. 2. Wild Nothing - Gemini (black vinyl - Captured Tracks). Near mint. Only played a handful of times. Looking to trade for some new LPs. Maybe, one for one kind of deal. My Dad found these: Beck - Midnight Vultures on Bongload records for 50 cents. Pink Floyd - DSOTM original US press with posters and stickers. All mint, for 10 cents. Both from the same second hand store, but not at the same time. I still have the Floyd. I flipped the Beck for $100, so I could buy my Dad the original Impulse pressing of Ahmad Jamal's The Awakening.

I'm not looking to spend too much. Around $20. I know the represses went for $11 from Asian Man. If I cannot find a version in that price range I will probably wait until the next repress in 2015 (confirmed by Mike Park). $20 probably does little to convince you.
