Record Store Day 2016
vectorman replied to itsgoodtobefree's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
The only thing I'm passively interested in is the John Wick soundtrack, and that's mostly for La Castle Vania's great (albeit 2 minute) tracks. -
Grabbed the box set as well, opted for the swirl. I haven't been keeping a definitive color pattern across all the Perturbator releases and I'm kind of kicking myself for it. Edit: Just checked, The 3 other 2xLPs and the 3 eps are all black. Thought I was more inconsistent than that, Damnit.

Part of the way through picking up the GosT album and Perturbators 404 (the only one of the three I'm currently missing) and man, am I remembering how much I hated dealing with these servers Edit: The standard black Terror 404 isn't out, is it? I keep getting the most generic errors when trying to purchase it.

I guess that's what happens when you don't google "Hotline Miami Vinyl Soundtrack" that week. $60 is pretty steep, but it comes with the game so \_(*.*_)_/ EDIT: oof, $74 shipped.

I thought I was a fan, but I don't know what this is?

Fall Out Boy - American Beauty/American Psycho
vectorman replied to RowBearToe's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Up until yesterday, I had no intention of picking up the album. IMO, the title track is just grating and I've skipped it halfway through multiple times. Immortals invokes pretty much the same reaction. However, Uma Thurman is pretty catchy, and definitely strange. Fourth of July is definitely my favorite though. That track is 11/10. I consider myself a pretty big FOB fan, but I think this album gets a B-. It would be an B+ if it didn't have American Beauty/American Psycho or Immortals on it though. All that being said, I think i'll wait for the 12" or 2x10" release. -
Official OST and Film Score Thread

So I just got back from seeing John Wick. It's kind of all over the place, but the soundtrack for that movie is damn solid, and I would definitely pick it up if it was pressed. -

If posts could kill, you'd be a murderer. (i'm sorry, that was really lame. I'll see my way out) -

well there were rumors that the sequel's soundtrack is supposedly going to be pressed, so it would be the perfect time to release the first soundtrack as well. -
Albums That Should Be RE-PRESSED on Vinyl

I thought as much, but didn't chance the 12 seconds it would have taken me to google and confirm. (Thanks!) -
Albums That Should Be RE-PRESSED on Vinyl
vectorman replied to chutterhanban's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm vaguely surprised that AFI's - Sing the Sorrow hasn't been repressed yet, what with most of their back catalogue being put up recently. Edit: then again, with this "no actual vintage test pressings for All Hallow's have turned up" shennanigans... -
Refreshed to the same shipping info you guys have ("shipping soon" with the same projected 10/23 to 11/17 end date), but at least now I know that my order isn't just floating in the ether

Don't really love spending $40, but it's better than kicking myself and missing the album for a second time. The only thing that would really disappoint me is if it showed up at Hot Topic for cheaper (plus saving on the shipping) since they seem to have that picture disk deal. Not that I'd want one from my local hot topic giving their vinyl storing practices... Plus it got me to splurge on the Big Hero 6 preorder while I was at it. Thanks for the coupon code too. Covered most of the shipping costs
