  1. Team Sleep announced a new deluxe version of their first album will be available for preorder today at 8am pst on their yet-to-be-live webstore.

I assume this will be similar to the RSD version but different enough to separate it from that release (different color maybe).  It will have the two bonus tracks, so assuming it’s from the same plates/master.

totally agree! Can't wait for the Act III live vinyl. and I really hope they do Act IV & V as streams at some point too!

Honestly Act III is my least favorite (which is not a very popular opinion), but I thought the live versions were way better than the studio cuts.  Just the new version of Go Get Your Gun by itself makes me like the whole thing more.

They’ll have to keep it going to finish out the story.  Hopefully they get the Awesome Orchestra back for IV and V and then release a box set of everything.

I’m guessing you watched the Act III stream?  That shit was great!

The trailer is incredibly misleading to make you think it's a raunchy love triangle movie with tennis. Sure, it is for a fraction of it, but overall it's a very deep and layered story that covers roughly 13 years of the main characters' lives. It's not predictable (opinion of course) and kept my attention the entire way through. The reviews have been stellar from what I can tell. My friend and I who went were genuinely surprised at how good it was.

After finding out who the director was and that Trent and Atticus scored it, I figured it had to be deeper than that trailer.

Saw Challengers tonight and agree it's so good. The score was incredible and even the general sound was fantastic. The writing was extremely well done on top of everything else.

Someone help me out here.  I saw the trailer for this and the whole thing was positioned as a love triangle romance movie with a loose tennis theme.  It looked super cheesy and disposable.  When I found out the boys scored it, I was surprised.

Was that trailer a red herring or something?  I didn’t get any kind of “there’s actually cool shit happening in this movie under the guise of this cheesy plot.”

I have mine on order. Core comes out early March, but no release date for Purple yet.

The 30th anniversary 2LP pressing of Core already crushed the MOV. Really excited to hear if it's even further improved.

Tempted to pick it up since it’s currently discounted but kinda want to wait to hear if the AP version is that much better.

  7. Not sure how this one didn’t show up on the board.  Dropped last Friday and it’s really great - and that’s coming from a non-fan of Yellowcard.

There’s only one variant left and they haven’t put up more since the first 2 sold through, so it looks like this might be it for the first pressing.

First single was obviously Ocean Avenue:

I mean, the price makes much more sense once it's in your hand.

Flimsy box, no-frills plain single sleeves, all black and white ink, no inserts, lyrics, or track listings.  At least they opted for clear plastic inners instead of sandpaper.  Only listened to 2x of them so far but sounded good to me.

Still, super glad to have these at an affordable price in a playable format.

When I compare this set to something like Failure’s 92-96 box set, even if there was a ~$30 difference, it shows how bare bones this one is.  I’m sure it’s somewhat by design, sleek, simple, etc., but they could’ve at least printed on the spines of the jackets.

But, like you said, I’ve spun Coloring Book and Our Color Green, and they both sound excellent.  I should probably give them a cleaning as there are a few pops, but the sound quality really does shine here.
