I love these clearance prices... my local store keeps getting in old stock from other stores. I picked up Rival Schools 2xLP for $10 and Red City Radio for $5!! I noticed the price tags don't always reflect the actual price too. Everything in store is the same price as online even if it's out of stock online. Just google the title + hot topic and boom!

I'm not trying to start a heated discussion, but just curious as why such high price tags on single LPs?

I have a few shops locally and one of them marks up new releases quite a bit. I'll still browse there, but say for instance a few weeks ago I wanted to buy Lykke Li's new album because I heard a single and liked it a lot. They had it, but for 24.99 which was actually a few dollars over LIST price. Amazon had it for 17.99 so I went that route. If it's a small 1-3 dollar markup, I will say fuck it and buy it. It also didn't help when I noticed they marked Dischord releases up to around $20. Like I said before, I'll pop in and browse, but most likely walk out with nothing.

I think Rise actually does. If you look at the album in the itunes store it shows "℗ 2012 Rise Records".

I love when it's fast like that... but we can only be so lucky from time to time.

How does everyone feel about non-album bootlegs? I buy bootleg 'comps' of live, demos, etc. rather than studio albums. I have a few really cool live/unreleased Germs ones and a Fear boot with tons of early demos. I recently picked up a newer Screamers boot that compiles their demo with Geza X since they never recorded an album or any singles.

I really want Hole's 'Live Through This'. I just have to buy it first.

Awesome! I will def pick that up soon then. I currently only have a 'Little Johnny Jewel' 7" which I found cheap on ebay a few years ago. 'Marquee Moon' is such a perfect album, but still need to check out 'Adventure' and the S/T that came later on.
