Damn...! I'm thoroughly impressed by a few of the shops I've visited. Namely the Disk Union shops in Tokyo, and Time Bomb in Osaka. My Pink Floyd, Grateful Dead, and PJ Harvey collections just added some white wails.

Also TOTALLY take advantage of the tanking yen, I lived there when it was 77yen to a dollar, so things around 150 now are super cheap if you come in as a tourist!

As much as I would love to make this happen, it's not possible. I just double checked and we're leaving on October 5th from Portland, but we're not arriving until the next afternoon, on the 6th. I had my dates a bit off. Damn, dude. So close...!

Hmm, I'll be in Tokyo from Oct 5-8...Then elsewhere. I have yet to research shops in Osaka or Kyoto. I've only got the two chains mentioned above in Tokyo but will do some further digging before leaving.

I'd echo what was said below, I think Ultraviolence is her best album by a pretty fair margin. 

I'l second 2nd avenue records in Portland if you like metal and hardcore.  Check out Tomorrow Records on Hawthorne, it's very well curated.

Yeah, they were great live, but this was by far the most electric track they played.

AFAIK, it's in effect for this year. Last year was suspended. Hopefully it's suspended this year too, but from what I understand they're going to enforce it next year for the 2023 year.  Such a joke to go from 20k to $600. Typical bureaucracy.  

Between this and having to pay tax on anything over $600 per year, it looks like I'll be selling just under $600 per year for the next few years.

The biggest sticking point for me on this thing is why release it during this time of year when people are struggling & have been struggling financially. That’s what pisses me off the most.
